Hi there; I want to apologize about your poor experience here at Sherwood Park Hyundai. I was looking into your service records, and according to the last record, the issue you had with your vehicle was unable to be duplicated, unfortunately from here if we cannot duplicate the issue, we have no case to send into Hyundai Warranty. With that being said, next time you are noticing these concerns, please feel free to bring your vehicle into service at your convenience without an appointment and we will have a technician or the service manager take your vehicle for a test drive to try to correctly diagnose the issue. In regards to a loaner vehicle, you must have extended warranty, which I see that you do. How it works is that your vehicle needs to be in our shop not working for 24 hours, and then you are eligible for a rental vehicle, at no charge to you for up to five days while we repair the issue. I hope I have answered any loose ends you might have, and have helped you to want to return to Sherwood Park Hyundai as your business is important to us. I am sorry you feel that way, I am unsure as to why you feel that way about me we have spoken one time in which you told me your problems and I told you to bring it in and have it fixed and gave you a loaner vechile for the inconvience. You also advised me you thought you got a "lemon" and I advised you on how to contact hyundai canada in regards to that, or at the dealership level I could try to make it work for you and give you the max for a trade in value I could. I have received a long email from your mother advising me on what to do and I didn't respond because do to the privacy act I would need to speak to the person Sherwood Park Hyundai has an account with. I also had mutiple complaints from the receptionist and the people in service that they were being verbally abused by your mother. I cannot let anyone mistreat the staff here its not acceptable. Once again I am sorry for the inconvience that was caused to you. I do stand behind our brand and our brand's promise to deliver you a reliable vehicle. Philip, You came to Sherwood Park Hyundai with a no start issue, The Hyundai certified tech reffered to Hyundai as to how to disgnose your issues. The outcome of that was 1 The starter is faulty or 2 the Ignition is faulty. So the tech then proceeded to start to fix the issue, he replaced the starter for you and then the vechile started agian, which of course would lead to the tech to think the issue has been resolved. You then contacted SP Hyundai after Joy had returned to BC because your issue has arose once agian. You were advised to take it to your nearest Hyundai dealership as you purchased an authorized OEM Hyundai part and that it would have warranty on it. That Hyundai store determined there was nothing wrong with the starter then proceeded to replace the ignition on your vechile, and that has solved your issue. To expect us to refund your money for work that was done and a starter that has been replaced on your Santa fe seems quite unreasonable. Of corurse I am going to pay my tech for doing the job that he did and of coruse I am going to pay my parts department for a part that was installed. I do however find you speculation quite offensive as we strive to make all of our customers happy in town or out of town. I am sorry that you feel you shouldn't have to pay for work done to your vechile but I believe I shouldnt have to pay for service provided on your Santa fe either. Brian Hickey 7804102450
