Not looking forward to coming back. I have owned my Hyundai for 2 years. Initially, the customer service from the service department was great. However, over time, more and more things a I have owned my Hyundai for 2 years. Initially, the customer service from the service department was great. However, over time, more and more things are going wrong with my vehicle. It is a lemon! The problem is, each time I bring it back, I feel like I'm treated worse and worse. I'm starting to feel like I'm a real problem to my service advisor. She is not properly explaining things to me either. I feel like I'm left in the dark as to what's wrong and what needs to be done. The booking clerk Alycia is great. She is very helpful and friendly and I never have a problem speaking with her. It's when the service advisor starts to call that I have a problem. It feels like she talks down to me and I do not appreciate it. Also wish a loaner car was provided. I paid a lot of money for my vehicle and it's disappointing to be left without a car for days while my lemon is constantly being repaired. In the future I will only be purchasing a vehicle from a dealership that provides loaner cars. It is a valuable feature. In response to Jason's reply. I thank you for your time. The problem couldn't be duplicated by the technician because they did not take it for a drive. I checked my km's. The car is worse and now smells like gasoline when it idles. I get less than 400km per tank. Sunroof is also leaking now. At my last appointment I asked that it be inspected and at pick up nothing was written on my invoice. I appreciate the offer to just drop by with the issues, however I work night shifts and it is really hard for me to get there during your business hours. I am due for an oil change soon and at that time will book it in for all the other issues as well... if I haven't traded it in yet. More

Last Saturday Owais, Brian, Krystal and the sales manager (I didn't catch his name) changed all that. I had a 2013 Tucson bought new last year that I absolutely hated. It was useless in the snow and developed starting issues December 2013. Owais contacted me last week and with much trepidation and doubt I went out last Saturday. Owais bent over backwards to get me out of my Tucson and into a 2014 Santa Fe Sport which I adore. Krystal in finance went above and beyond to explain everything to me and ensure I got the best value for my money. Mike finance manager even came out and welcomed me back to the dealership. To my delight the sales and finance is staffed with honest new employees and the Principal Brian Hickey went above and beyond to give me the best experience possible. They even honored the 2 $100 gas cards promised by the previous sales manager but never honored. All in all the new staff are exceptional as the service department has always been. Owais picked up my Tucson from work yesterday morning and took it back to the dealership to have my gas pedal extender installed in the Santa Fe to save me losing a full day of work. We were greeted by a salesman who was friendly and ready to help. He took us outside to look at one of the Santa Fe Xl's and once he had shown us a few features he took us back inside to prepare for a test drive. As soon as we came back inside a woman from finance came over. She was dressed casually (it was Sunday), but she did not look at all professional. She introduced herself (unfortunately we can't remember her name) and asked us what we did for a living. She said she wanted to make sure that we could afford the vehicle before we test drove it. My husband and I found this to be very offensive. We are both professionals and were never asked about our finances before test driving a vehicle (3 other dealerships). We did go for a test drive with the salesman, but as soon as we got back the woman was asking us if we wanted to buy the vehicle. She said there was a rebate, but that we had to buy that day to get the discount. When we asked how much the discount was, the woman became very defensive and said she didn't know how much the rebate actually was. She kept telling us we had to buy that day, but we wanted to know how much the rebate was first. Finally she stormed off to check and five minutes later she came back and said it was a $500 rebate. Very high pressure for only a $500 rebate. When we wouldn't immediately commit to buying she continued to be rude and then demanded to know what price it would take to buy the vehicle that day. Being that my husband and I had already decided we would never purchase from Sherwood Park Hyundai my husband gave a rather low price. She stormed off and sent her manager in. He explained to us that our price was too low (which we already knew). We told him that we couldn't deal with the other woman and that we were leaving. It was quite obvious that her only concern was making a sale. Friendly, helpful customer service was non existent. We did end up purchasing a new 2014 Santa Fe XL from another Hyundai dealer in North Edmonton. We live in Sherwood Park, but drove all the way into North Edmonton due to the poor service at Sherwood Park Hyundai. At the north end Hyundai they were incredibly friendly and helpful from beginning to end. At no point did we feel pressured into making a purchase that we weren't ready to make. I will continue to tell people abut the great service at the North Edmonton Hyundai dealer and about the terrible service we received at Sherwood Park Hyundai. Stay away!!! More

I had a hole in th I have had a wonderful experience with the staff at the Sherwood Park Hyundai. I love my Santa Fe. I have had a couple issues. 1. I had a hole in the windshield washer fluid tank. My vehicle was brand new and myself and service scratched our heads on the cause. No problem, all fixed, no charge. 2. The car starter wouldn't work. I came in and they looked at it right on the spot and I believe replaced a wire. It works awesome. Ken sold me the vehicle and he was amazing. I look forward to seeing him and Kristen from the service department every time I go in. My Santa Fe is an AWD, turbo 2.0, limited edition sport model. Awesome! This thing stops on a dime! I had to use the AWD once ( I have never had AWD and Kristen talked me through how to use it- simple) and I got through our unplowed culdesac past other vehicles that were stuck. I tried the brakes in the parking lot where I work in the wee morning hours on ice and it felt like a huge iron hand came out and gripped the ground. After work, around 11:30pm at night, I came out last winter and an ice storm left the vehicle in a thick layer of ice. Other work associates were still scraping, but the ice came off no problem when I heated up my vehicle. The one thing I really noticed was the headlights. Awesome. They are so bright they make a perfect line ahead of me on the road. I travel on highway 21 to work and I can't believe how many animals I see in the ditch now that I couldn't see with my last vehicle. I absolutely love my Santa Fe- from the heated seats/steering wheel, huge sun roof, navigation system to the awesome stereo. This is the best vehicle I have ever owned. Dealing with the dealer principal Brian Hickey and all his staff have been a nightmare. My brand new 2014 gen coupe has been in the shop more than it has been on the road. Not even a month in of having my vechicle my shifter boot needed to be replaced... not to mention the bumper needed to be fixed three times already. The solution to fixing my bumper from Jason (shop foreman) was pulling the other side out so it matched.. Oh? ok so we can just hope that my bumper will not fall off after that right ? After multiple times phoning asking to speak to the dealer principal, I was told my loaner vehicle got taken away due to the fact I had been calling too much and harassing everyone,not to mention the fact they wanted to reimburse me for my extended warranty (why? I'm not too sure) All I wanted was answers to why my car is already falling apart. Brian Hickey is the worst dealer principal I have ever dealt with, the staff is so rude, and i would never take my car back here again. I will never recommend this dealership to anyone, EVER. I wish Bob Bullock still owned this dealership, he was so sympathetic and understanding of customers problems whether they were right or wrong. More
Love Our 2008 Santa Fe Hyundai We live in Nakusp BC.. Diagnosed bad starter motor by Sherwood Park Hyundai AB.. Replaced July 14 2014 $659.00.. Not fixed! Got home same problem. 1st called SPH August. 16 th.. Called again August. 18 th. Told starter under warranty . Told .. Go to nearest Hyundai dealer... In Castlegar BC... 138 km away.. Called Castlegar BC Hyundai ... Told to check ground battery cable for rust where connected to vehicle...seems this is issue with some Santa Fe's. I cleaned post and cable and problem seemed to stop for few days. I called Jason and let him know...(8-20-14). (8-21-14.) 8:04am BC time) Jason still did not retun my call. (8-21-14) 9:14 am called Jason he said rust issue on ground wire not possible with my 2008 Santa Fe only 2012 Santa Fe. Said he'd call me back.fri. 8-22-14. (3:35 pm 8-21-14) 3:25 pm Jason did not call me . Called Jason (8-25-14) 9:15 am... Service tech was in car accident ... Jason will call me tomorrow . (8-26-14) Jason.. No call!. (8-27-14) called Gen Mgr. Brian at SPH ..11;58am. Said he would talk to Jason and J will take care of it... Jason called me 12:05 pm. Said to take car to Castlegar Hyundai to check it out and for C Hyundai to call him about problem. Went to Castlegar H. (8-28-14) 1:30 pm. Diagnosed: Ignition switch is problem.... Complete ignition system to be replaced . $620.00 ... Service mgr. at C Hyundai called Jason at SP H said Jason was very negative . (9-8-14) 8:24 am. Called Gen Mgr. BRIAN .. He said he will call me back in 20 or 25 minutes.... He never called me back that day or any other day... Still waiting (Sept. 27 2014) 10:20am. BC time. Jason called (9-09-14) 9:02 am. Said to email him copies of invoices from Castlegar H. jdrouillard@sphyundai.com I tried 6 times always retuned (not valid email address). So I had Castlegar H. Fax to SP H. My invoices. (9-10-14) 7:40 am. Jason said he rec. faxes...He would talk to BRIAN and will get back to me. I sent message to Jason's Facebook.... Sent message Sherwood Park Hyundai .... Sent feedback message to Hyundai Corporate Headquarters. Tues. (Sept..16 2014) Still no response from any one.... I'm just speculating.... Could Sherwood Park Hyundai dealership have taken advantage of a elderly WOMAN because she would not know what to do when problem with car started to happen again.... I have bought a Tucson in the past, & had the pleasure of always dealing with Kendall in Service, who is efficient & friendly. I find the staff here so helpful, friendly & informative. Not pushy, which I like. Krystal is so patient in financing & helped me understand all the paperwork -- being a senior, she had to explain it more than once. And then had to change it all when I decided I needed winter tires!! And such a pleasant gal. Dale & Barb were great at the parts Dept when buying the tires. Dale took the time to explain the winter driving with the Genesis. And of course Shelley called to see how I was liking the car, great sales gal and so much fun. First time I have ever bought a car & had people be so helpful & call me by name. And when I picked up the car, Kit (in Service), took the time to once again explain the car - map, radio , etc. I am impressed with Sherwood Park Dealer Ship & will definitely being going back for service & future vehicles.
