Best experience at a dealership EVER! I was fed up with my Nissan dealership and wanting to explore my options to see if I could get into a different vehicle from elsewhere. Many of my friends have Santa Fe's and love them, so I decided to check out Hyundai and look into the Santa Fe and Tucson. Couldn't be happier that I did! My first brand new vehicle purchasing experience with Nissan was horrible and I wasn't sure what to expect this time around - I must admit I had pretty low expectations of all dealerships. From the moment I first walked into SP Hyundai the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. I first met Robin, who introduced me to Shaun. There aren't enough words out there to explain how amazing my 2nd new vehicle purchasing experience was, and it's hugely because of Shaun that my experience was so awesome! This experience was so different and completely exceeded my previous experience with Nissan. Shaun treated me with respect right from the start. I was treated like a person who could actually buy a new vehicle, unlike Nissan who tried to take advantage of the fact I was a lone, young, girl until they discovered my last name and changed their whole attitude upon realizing my parents have a long history of buying from them. Shaun listened to what I was looking for and went above and beyond to make it happen. He was very knowledgeable, never tried to sell me something I didn't want, and I never once felt pressured - he gave me all the time I needed to think over things and make my decision. I traded in my 2014 Nissan Rogue SL and both Shaun and Robin worked hard to ensure I got a great value for my trade in. I was incredibly happy with what I ended up getting for my trade. I didn't want my payments to be any higher than what I'd had with my Rogue, but wanted a vehicle that had all the same things my Rogue did in order to go through with trading it in. Both Robin and Shaun were very accommodating to ensure I'd be able to get all the bells and whistles I was looking for in a new vehicle. Shaun fought hard for me to get everything I wanted for a price that worked for me. Once we'd settled on a deal, and I brought my parents in for a 2nd opinion on the vehicle and deal, I was introduced to Doug in financing to finalize everything. Doug made the process quick and easy. He made sure I got the best finance rate possible and was comfortable with my payments and term. He was even able to arrange that my payments would come out on the same schedule as my Rogue ones had. Doug explained everything and ensured that I understood what I was signing. A few days later it was delivery day! Shaun knew about my previous bad new vehicle buying experience and worked really hard to make this new vehicle delivery extra special for me. Delivery day was amazing and everything I'd ever hoped it would be!!!! Shaun was excited for me to get my new vehicle and made me feel so special and valued. You can tell that he loves his job and cares about his customers. I definitely got first class treatment and all the staff in the service bay were clapping when my beautiful Tucson was presented to me!! From walking in the dealership doors to delivery day, this has by far been the most enjoyable vehicle purchasing experience I've ever had in my life! I most definitely recommend SP Hyundai, and especially Shaun, to anybody shopping for a vehicle. =) More

He helped find an amazing vehicle that I could afford; and went above and beyond with his kind personality and excellent work ethic. He made the experience enjoyable and not dreadful. The vehicle he found for me I love. He has an amazing personality and cares about his job but also puts as much of that caring nature to his customers so they have the best experience. I highly recommend going to him if you are wanting a vehicle. Amazing service, I'm so happy with the vehicle and the process thanks to Shaun. I highly recommend him!! :) More

Lack of openness I was contacted last week with an offer of a $5000 prepaid Visa card if I traded in my 2014 Santa Fe. I was totally honest & said I thought I owed t I was contacted last week with an offer of a $5000 prepaid Visa card if I traded in my 2014 Santa Fe. I was totally honest & said I thought I owed too much. Made an appointment for Saturday at 10 am. If Josh had of told me upfront that they were going to use the $5000 rebate toward the vehicle instead of giving it to me as a prepaid card it would have gone no further. I had no intention of trading until I got the offer for the prepaid card. Brian & Brad in finance were great explaining everything but before everything was finalized I was informed that the rebate was used on the vehicle & I would not get the $5000 prepaid card. Brian went over the sales agreement & nowhere did it show that there was a credit of $5000. I felt Doug was almost nasty when told that due to the fact that I was not getting the $5000 prepaid card I would not be going through with the sale. The prepaid Visa card was the main reason why I had considered trading my Santa Fe as there is only 18,500 km on her. I was told I had wasted everyone's time with no consideration of the 4 hours I had wasted there. Doug even brought up the fact that my husband & I had won $5000 at that dealership August of 2013. Have no idea why, this was brought up unless he thought I did not deserve the rebate. I was asked to leave & will not be back. If Josh had of said to me right from the start, Bev there is a $5,000 rebate & we are going to apply it to the cost of the vehicle instead of giving it to you the whole situation would have ended there as I would not have even considered going through with the deal. If you are going to be purchasing from this dealership you had better dot your I's and cross your t's. More
Excellent customer service We purchased a Hyundai Santa Fe from a different dealership however decided to use Sherwood Park Hyundai as our "home" dealership as its very close to We purchased a Hyundai Santa Fe from a different dealership however decided to use Sherwood Park Hyundai as our "home" dealership as its very close to where we live. We've had to have a few warranty things done to it (unfortunately), I dealt with John Vaage for both warranty issues and both times he went above and beyond what a normal Service guy would do. More specifically, we had an issue with our tires (all 4 tires were defective from the factory) and we had to deal with Kuhmo Tires. Dealing with Kuhmo tires was a pain in the xxx as they mostly deflected the issue. Over time, John was able to sort of THEIR issues and get them to get us four new tires. Unfortunately Kuhmo only wanted to pay a certain amount even though Hyundai was able to prove the tires were defected from factory. I was told by Hyundai that I was on the hook for about $300 for labour, cost of the new tires, etc.. which is absurd as the tires were simply defective from factory. John was able to get me into the shop within a day of sorting this issue out with Kuhmo and had the new tires on within hours. Upon picking up the Santa Fe, I voiced my displeasure with having to pay $300 for an issue that was clearly Kuhmo Tire's issue. John spoke with his manager Dave Brooks and I was out the door without having to pay the approximate $300. Both Dave Brooks and John Vaage were very professional, answered emails quickly and dealt with the issues. This dealership is clearly committed to customer service and ensuring their Hyundai customers leave the door with a smile on their face, which is what I had when I left. Thanks again to both, I'll definitely be dealing with John and Dave again if I have to return. More

Great service from John Vaage Just want to say that the service I received from John Vaage was the most impressive I have had to date at any dealership. He was efficient, calm, straight-shooting and knew his stuff. He is a genuine asset to the dealership as much as to those of us requiring automotive maintenance. There was no up-selling and it seemed like John was able to come at this from a customers perspective...trying to make the situation as painless as possible going after only those things that needed to be repaired. He was even gracious enough to let me know what pieces I could do on my own (bulb replace, fluid change) rather than cost me extra money and technicians time that I didn't really have to spend. John brought my vehicle in at 5:20 on a Friday night, arranged a loaner and connected with the warranty company despite it moving into after hours for him. He had me on the road within thirty minutes of arriving at the dealership and followed up regularly as the vehicle was going through the repairs. There was no nonsense or some of that phony schmoozing that you sometimes find at dealerships. I walked away with a sense that it was important to John that I got looked after as a customer. Interestingly, my positive interaction with John shifted my purchasing decisions as well I had been doing some internet shopping for vehicles prior to this and settling on the Grand Cherokee. Following my interaction with John, I was so impressed that I decided to see what Sherwood Park Hyundai had on offer. I had contact with Robin Do and explained what I was looking for. He was ready to to get me a Jeep and a Hyundai to look at even though they weren't on his lot. I located a Sante Fe for consideration and we did some conversations back and forth via email.He was able to meet my price on it without a bunch of saleman garbage and the rest is history. I came into the dealership at 10:00 the next Saturday and was gone by early afternoon with a new, used vehicle. Savin managed the actual transaction in Robin's place and Brian Robb was second to none in getting the remaining finances I needed in place. All in, my experience at this dealership has been most impressive and would recommend the folks I worked with to anyone. Thanks everybody! More
