Before considering purchasing a vehicle from Sherwood Park Chevrolet in Edmonton, please take a moment to read this thorough review. I was interested in buying the 2018 black diesel Colorado from them, d Park Chevrolet in Edmonton, please take a moment to read this thorough review. I was interested in buying the 2018 black diesel Colorado from them, despite living out of province. I was ready to pay the asking price, which included free delivery, and I was upfront about my less-than-perfect credit with Drew from the start. He assured me that their financing team was top-notch and that my credit wouldn't be an issue. Throughout our negotiations, my final offer was to pay the asking price, provide a $30,000 down payment, cover half the cost of the Customer Care Plan (CCP), and waive any document fees. Additionally, I offered to pay 10% interest over a 2-year period. I was told that this deal was doable, and we proceeded with all the necessary paperwork for financing. We even set a delivery date, but unfortunately, communication went silent. I reached out to inquire about the final numbers and monthly payments, and that's when things took an unexpected turn. Despite the terms we had agreed upon, I received a breakdown that included $700 for a key fob, $600 for undercoating, $900 for premium tires, $699 for etching (the purpose of which was unclear), and an unexpected $3,965 warranty that I hadn't requested. After GST and PST were added, the total costs were significantly higher. It's perplexing why essential items like a key and tires were presented as additional costs, and why undercoating, which is typically in place, was being sold separately from the selling cost. This lack of transparency raised concerns about the dealership's practices. The most surprising part was the financing terms presented to me. They claimed the interest rate was 20%, and the loan needed to extend over 42 months, resulting in approximately $21,000 in interest payments. This meant that their final offer for a $40,000 truck ballooned to over $65,000. They were unwilling to negotiate these financing terms, although they mentioned I could pay it off early, with a staggering $21,000 interest on a roughly $15,000 loan. It's disappointing that, despite the initial agreement, Sherwood Park Chevrolet was unwilling to make the deal more reasonable or transparent. It appears that ethical considerations took a back seat when commissions came into play. Potential buyers should be cautious when dealing with this dealership. Make sure to get everything in writing, as Drew and his team may use slick word games to win you over. More

Everything else is negotiable), lots of lost time and energy on my end. I contacted Sherwood Park Chev about a used Hyundai Kona with a sour taste in my mouth, expecting to be jerked around again. David Shull proved me wrong, and then some! I’m in Calgary, they’re in Edmonton and we took care of everything online, from pricing the Kona to estimating my trade in, right down to signing off on the sale. The part that truly makes this dealership stand out is their transparency and empathy. I was treated like a human, rather than someone who they could scam a few extra dollars out of. The entire team I worked WITH and not against made this somewhat stressful process a pleasure - Jarid in Finance, Vince the Sales Manager and my man, David, who was so personable, going above and beyond to get me into the vehicle I fell in love with.
