Poor Communication and Service Sadly my review is all based on poor communication and in my opinion a lack of customer service. I bought a 2017 Corolla in July in Calgary and then a Sadly my review is all based on poor communication and in my opinion a lack of customer service. I bought a 2017 Corolla in July in Calgary and then a 2017 Rav in September in Red Deer, both without a block heater due to a recall. I booked both vehicles into Red Deer Toyota a month ago to have the new block heaters installed. Red Deer Toyota called me yesterday and advised me that since I bought my corolla in Calgary , Red Deer cannot do the recall work at this time as Red Deer customers have priority. My Rav would still get the block heater installed tomorrow. I disagreed as it shouldn't matter where I bought the Toyota product, a recall is a recall. Their service manger called me this morning and advised me it has nothing to do with where I bought the car but that Toyota Canada's guidelines has the block heater rollout in two phases. Priority to those who have the faulty block heater already installed and once that has been completed, then they will start installing block heaters into vehicles that were sold without the block heater. I was upset with this logic as both my vehicles were already booked in for service a month ago and it should be simply first come, first serve and hopefully they have enough to do all vehicles. I spoke with Toyota Canada (3 times) and the first customer service spokesperson indicated that the Red Deer Service Manager is correct regarding the rollout but that he could override that guideline as my two vehicles were already booked in for work and it shouldn't be an issue. Sadly the Red Deer Service Manager would not override the guideline. And now Red Deer Toyota is saying that they will not service my Rav. It is not his fault as he is following the guidelines but would not override, in my opinion bad customer service as it was already booked in. In the end, very disappointed with Red Deer Toyota. Now after speaking with Country Hills Toyota, who have been great to deal with, they will do both my vehicles. Sadly this is the second time I've had an issue with Red Deer Toyota. More
