On Dec 29th we negotiated to purchase a 2015 Dodge Ram Truck. Josh provided us details on two trucks that were available in Windsor. We decided on one of them and he drew up the paper work stating that he would work on a delivery date of Friday January 2nd. No word Friday however called on Sat Jan 3rd and confirmed that the vehicle would be ready for pickup on Mon Jan 5th. Josh called on Monday afternoon and stated that unfortunately our truck had been sold to someone else.... After carefully reading the paperwork we discovered that the contract did not reflect a VIN number and stated that we purchased a 2014 Dodge Ram. This totally contradicted the other white piece of paper that we received listing all of the details of the truck. This was given to us to call in the VIN number for insurance purposes. Happy to produce both pieces of paper if necessary. Thank you for looking into this, there is something very wrong with this type of sales tactic.

Hi Gwen and Mike, I am sorry for the delay in response, I have read your response and discussed the details with both Josh and our management team. According to those who assisted you, when we made the deal, the deal was based on a vehicle that was showing available at another Chrysler dealership, hence the reason for the lack of VIN # and stock number. As is always the case, we are at the mercy of the other dealer allowing us to purchase it from them and not selling it to another consumer or dealer. When you were here purchasing the vehicle we had a preliminary confirmation of the availability of the truck however by the time we were ready to pick it up 2 days later, the dealer informed us that it was sold and no longer available. This is a scenario which is beyond our control and our prime objective is to place our customer into a vehicle, otherwise we all waste precious resources and time. We truly do not want to waste your time in writing up deals which cannot be completed or for that matter waste any of our staff's time pursuing a deal which cannot be completed. The White paper you received at time of sale was a detailed description of the actual vehicle that we found while making the deal, but unfortunately until this vehicle is on our parking lot we are at someone's else's mercy. We have also suggested to order you an exact vehicle of your choice, however according to our staff you could not wait for an order. As far as I understand we also tried to accommodate you by looking at some possible available alternatives, which again you did not want to pursue. I can understand your frustration, however there is truly no hidden tactic as you note in your response, none of us get paid or can generate any sort of income until such time that you actually take delivery of a vehicle. The situation is just as frustrating for us as it is for you. Perhaps there was a misunderstanding with how the information was relayed to you, and for this I apologize, but it was truly never the intent to waste your time. I am not sure whether or not you have already purchased another vehicle, however for the sake of good customer service I'd be willing to offer you an additional $2000 off your price if you'd be willing to wait and order one through our dealership. This would be off the last price that you had gotten from us for the exact same vehicle that you wanted to buy in the first place. I would estimate a wait of about 6-8 weeks if you were to choose this option. This is the only way I can attempt and redeem some of the bad vibe you have had while dealing with our dealership. Perhaps through this response I may also redeem some of your immediate mind-set about our dealership, and perhaps??? I may be able to convince you to improve your review of us. It would mean a lot to us as we take true pride in our customer service. You can confirm that from the 1100+ reviews we have online.... Again I apologize for the mishandling and miss communication, I hope have at least elevated some of your views of our dealership. Thank you Gil Legerman General Sales Manager

Thanks for your response, I expected this. We are not experts at reading Chrysler contracts however, the white piece of paper suggests that the vehicle was already sold... by sales code and description. In addition the yellow piece of paper stated that we bought a 2014 Dodge Ram with no VIN #... we should have questioned that on the day of signing. Buyer be ware right.....lesson learned. The worst part, was shaking Josh's hand when I had to reverse the deposit transaction on my debit card. Disgusting to me,,, We bought a truck from another Chrysler Dealer the very next day and would never, ever step foot in your show room again. We will tell everyone we know about our very shady, inconvenient experience! Will my negative review be posted???
