In the past, Pathway has offered this service for free and while making the reservation my wife was not informed otherwise. When I brought the car in I met Jayce at the counter. He was very personal and friendly, but when I asked to confirm that the tire swap was still complimentary he informed me that no, it was now $39.95. With raised eyebrows I handed him the keys. While I waited for the car in the customer lounge I thought it over. Jayce came over to tell me about some recommended work - rear brakes, brake fluid flush, transmission flush and a couple of bulbs - which I declined. Afterwards I went back to the counter to ask him to waive the tire swap fee based on the fact that we were not informed in advance of the policy change. He told me there was nothing he could do without manager approval, but he did arrange that approval before I left and the fee was waived. On top of that, the technician freed up the sticking left rear brake caliper and I was not charged for that service. When the car was washed he brought it around front for me and apologized, explaining he was new to the dealership and not sure of what he was authorized to do. I left a satisfied customer. More

At around the same time I noticed we were past the recommended date for the timing belt replacement, so we made an appointment for a week from today to have them all replaced. This afternoon, however, my wife could not get the car to start. Making use of our CAA membership, we had it towed to Pathway and I met her there at around 5 pm. We spoke to Jen Laughren (service advisor) and Scott Lafontaine (technician) at the service desk. They immediately made us feel welcome and, mentioning a slow night, offered to take the car in right away. Scott answered all of my technical questions and we were satisfied with the prices quoted. We received a call from Jen at home a little while later, explaining that the car wouldn't start because the trunk was left ajar and the light drained the battery. Since this was the original battery, had failed a previous load test and was now seven years old we agreed to replace it. We received a call from Jen at 8 pm to tell us the car was ready, and when we picked it up she showed us how the timing belt replacement came in under the quoted amount. Overall, very pleased with the service. More
An excellent sales/service team who were really knowledgeable, and yet were not overbearing at all. We were able to take our time and look over the vehicles with no pressure to purchase. The team supplied us with coffee and water as we considered our options, and we did not feel hurried even though we were considering buying one of the least expensive cars on the lot. We were offered a shuttle ride home as we were on the bus. At the time of collection the car was immaculately presented and even the tyre walls had been polished - no mean feat for the middle of winter on a used car. We would highly recommend this dealership. More

Be cautious with this dealership. I should have never bought from them in 2008 when they changed the price of the vehicle on my invoice thinking I would not notice. They sold me a lemon that has been in there shop more times then I could count. At least when it was under warranty I could live with it but now! They recently tried to charge me for a repair at a cost of over $700 which ended up being a repair another garage did for $59. They (Dave Haldiman) are great at finding excuses when confronted but not very good at being accountable and taking ownership over their product. This man would find a way to explain to you that it actually takes an hour to cook minute rice! Get service there at your own risk and judge for yourself. Never going there again. More
My clutch stopped working. After paying for an inspection, I was told I needed to replace the master cylinder. I therefore had the master cylinder replaced. Since work was being done on the vehi inspection, I was told I needed to replace the master cylinder. I therefore had the master cylinder replaced. Since work was being done on the vehicle, I opted to have the regular maintenance service done at the same time. A week later, the clutch stopped working again. I returned the car and was told that this time, the slave cylinder needed replacing. So I had it replaced. A week later, when I started the car, there was a loud screeching noise and a cloud of smoke started billowing from under the hood. When I had a look, I noticed that a belt had snapped. At this point, I wrote the service manager (Dave Haldimand) to inquire about how these issues could arise. I was told that it was difficult to determine which cylinder (master or slave) actually needed replacing, that perhaps both originally needed replacing, or that perhaps the one broke after (or as a result of) the replacement. As for the belt, he didn't have an answer. I wrote back pointing out that I had paid for an inspection (which admittedly was either not done or done incompetently) and wasn't satisfied with his answer. I also asked how it was possible for the belt to break given that it was (should have been) inspected during the routine maintenance I paid for. Again, either the work wasn't done or wasn't done properly. I also asked what the cost to have the belt replaced would be. His reply was to offer a $100 discount. I wasn't satisfied since I had spent several hundred dollars on parts and labour, some of which wasn't necessary. I wrote back explaining that I was a loyal Hyundai customer, that I had brought a number of customers to his dealership (both my parents, bought a Santa Fe and an Elantra, my brother, bought an Accent, and my closest friend, bought a Tucson, all on my recommendation) and that I expected a better explanation and resolution of the above issues. It is at this point that he stopped communicating with me - ignoring my calls and emails. Since then, I have shared my bad experience with friends, colleagues and neighbours some of which (Hyundai owners) have admitted having bad experiences with this same dealership. Those of us in the market for new vehicles have also taken our business elsewhere. More
