Repair air conditioning I asked Northstar to check my air conditioning on my vehicle as it was still under warranty. They repaired the unit and checked everything perfectly. The air now works like new, even though the vehicle is a 2010. The shuttle dropped me off and picked me up and my vehicle was ready by 3 pm. More
Polite, but not at all customer-service oriented. After many years of owning Fords (trucks and cars) we have decided our next vehicle will not be a Ford. Our Ford Truck 150 and our 2012 Ford Explore After many years of owning Fords (trucks and cars) we have decided our next vehicle will not be a Ford. Our Ford Truck 150 and our 2012 Ford Explorer have had technical issues and when we go online we have read where our issue are a problem with that year's model. One issue has happened twice now and is obviously a defect in construction. Even so, the problems are not dealt with at our service centre. We understand there can be technical problems, but one hopes that the company will back up their product. None of ours has been dealt with satisfactorily. We have to scratch out any bit of help to then just be told how sorry they are, but they can't do anything. Also, our Platinum Shield Protection plan purchased at the time we bought the vehicle was not accurately documented in the computer system that tracks when the next inspection is due. I had to prove with my paperwork that it was done in the past at the right interval. When we asked to speak with a manager, we were not allowed to do so, but told to contact the Ford company personally. We have been very frustrated with this service centre over serveral visits and will now go to another in the future. More

Warranty service visit I had to bring my brand new Lariat in for some servicing regarding the 3M peeling off in 3 different spots after only 2 months of use. Upon arrivin I had to bring my brand new Lariat in for some servicing regarding the 3M peeling off in 3 different spots after only 2 months of use. Upon arriving I was greeted by a service advisor who ran through the standard light check etc with me. He was very pleasant and friendly. While waiting to book in my truck with a separate advisor, a young girl from the parts department walked by and offered water and coffee and asked to let her know if there was anything she could do for me while I waited my turn. Within a few minutes, Scott Lepsenyi came over and we completed all the paperwork required. He was fast, efficient and very friendly. I was advised that there would be no problem to get the 3M fixed and was asked if there was anything else I wanted to address. I had received a couple small rock chips in my door and mentioned this to Scott. He right away told me what the best option was and brought me over to the parts department to let them know exactly what to order for me. I was sent on my way with the courtesy driver- who was absolutely wonderful to deal with. I didn't catch his name, but he made the ride in both directions very stress free and was great to chat with. Expecting my truck to be at Northstar all day, I was surprised when 2.5hrs later Scott called me to say it was already done. He said all work had been completed and I could pick her up when I was ready. The service department at Northstar in the short time I have been a customer there- has surpassed every expectation I have in this industry. I have had countless great help,advice and honesty from several of the folks in service and Scott was no exception to that experience this time around again. Nobody ever really enjoys servicing there vehicle regardless of the reason- but the folks at Northstar make it easy,efficient and hassle free every time and they do it with a smile on there face and a genuine goal of making your time with them stress free. On a side note - during this last visit, I popped into the parts department because one of the pieces I had to install my rock deflector with snapped in half. I spoke with warren (who I had dealt with in the first place 2 months earliear). He was just as great this time around as well. Professional and pleasant to deal with and he was able to warranty the broken part and have me on my way within minutes of hearing my issue. I would like to thank all the guys and gals at Northstar for there continued dedication to customer service- specifically Scott and Warren on this visit. More

Mac - your service department attempted to fix the issue and rather than charge me your rep contacted Ford in Ft. Mac and back charged them. More

Get a new building already Finally got thru the service line (used to getting voicemail, and don't even get me started on the ongoing challenge of trying to get my boyfriend's b Finally got thru the service line (used to getting voicemail, and don't even get me started on the ongoing challenge of trying to get my boyfriend's brand new F350 king ranch in for service, which he purchased at North Star! I don't think he's had it there more than once for service because he can't even speak to a human to book an appointment!) to book an oil change and was asked if I wanted to wait for my truck while they were servicing it or drop it off in the morning and pick up at 5pm. I opted to book a "wait for it" appointment because this hasn't been an option at past appointments. I showed up for the appointment and they told me it wasn't recorded as a "wait" but they would try to get it in. 2 hours of waiting in the extremely busy sales centre/service waiting area that made me feel claustrophobic, it was finally done. After carefully maneuvering around the jam packed parking lot, I was happy to be out of there. The service advisors are great once you get there but wow, North Star Calgary is in such desperate need of a new building, more space, better organization...I'm tempted to host a fundraiser for them. Come on NS, don't make me drive to Cam Clark again. More

Can't fix anything Every time I take my vehicle there I end up having to then take it back a week later. This most recent time I had my regular service and my tires rotated, now my engine won't overheat. The vehicle littearlly says; pull over now. Thanks Northstar. Last time I went in, I didn't even make it 1km down the road before my check engine light came on. My vehicle is a 2014 this shouldn't happen... my 1988 beat up truck was more reliable. To make things worse the service sucks. Last time I was there the shuttle driver got mad at me because apparently my drop off location was too close to the train station. He insisted I take the train and not the shuttle. So this time; I book my appointment, I'm assured by the person who did the booking that they supply train tickets...on the day of, no tickets...great. More
