The friendly and professional staff made it easy to decide that this was the dealership we wanted to give our business to. All of the team members we dealt with were knowledgeable and helpful; there was no pressure and they were all very patient as we talked our way through the entire process. We now have a Kia Sorento we love and would like to thank Christine Wright, Jan Cox, Roy Berentsen, and Dave Bare for helping us to make it happen. I'd be happy to recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a great purchasing experience. More
Ryan Got Us Into Our New Kia Soul SX Turbo And We Love It! My poor Mother has increasingly challenging arthritis in her hands and this progressive difficulty prompted us to begin looking for a new vehicle more My poor Mother has increasingly challenging arthritis in her hands and this progressive difficulty prompted us to begin looking for a new vehicle more than 2 years ago to replace our reliable Ford Ranger. My Mother really enjoyed the height of the Ranger and the feeling of being "tall on the road", but she was beginning to feel that the truck was a little too difficult to handle and a vehicle which was a bit lower (but not too much so) was necessary. We looked at the majority of the popular SUV's (Honda CR-V, Toyota RAV4, Nissan Rogue, Mazda CX3, Ford Escape, Buick Encore) and nothing felt quite right. The Kia Sportage was on our list, so we visited Harris Kia last summer to take one for a test drive. We liked the Sportage fairly well, in particular the ability to adjust the angle of the rear seats and their overall level of comfort especially when juxtaposed with the other SUV's we had tried. After taking the vehicle for a test drive we felt it was near the top of our list, but had not truly captivated us. Ryan was guiding us through our Sportage touring experience and he evidently noticed that we were not truly taken with the vehicle, and that is when he said something to the effect of, "Have you thought about a Kia Soul?" My Mother, brother and I returned a blank stare, "What's a Kia Soul?" Ryan proceeded to show us the odd, little vehicle lying in the middle of the show room which our eyes had passed over like a strange looking shell on a beach of pebbles. I thought to myself, "Oh no. It's one of those weird box vehicles. Totally non-aerodynamic and it looks like a packing crate on wheels." Ryan encouraged us to try sitting down in the vehicle and that's when the magic happened. Spacious. Small, but somehow feels roomy inside. It's very disconcerting. The vehicle looks small from the outside, but upon sitting in the vehicle it reveals itself as being quite roomy, in fact, downright comfortable. My brother is a grown man, and he sat in the back and said the back area was the most comfortable he had yet sat in. My Mother really liked how she didn't feel small sitting in the Soul, yet there was still some height to it, more than a regular car, though not as much as our truck or SUV's we had tried. Ryan proposed going for a test drive and we did. The handling of the Soul was delightful. Peppy. The little car feels peppy, like it really wants to move, and still enjoys being a small car with a zest for movement. I particularly enjoyed the different "Driving Modes". I am very worried about the environment and the future of the planet (my next vehicle will at least be a hybrid, hopefully an electric), and I liked putting the Soul in "Eco Mode" noticing a drop in power but knowing that it would make the vehicle more efficient on gas (as Ryan informed us). We walked away from the time at the dealership really happy with the Soul, although it would take more than half a year for us to finally seize the day. Ryan was diligent, yet considerate. He would call us every now and then to see how things were going. He always asked after my Mother's health, which we appreciated. In November, Ryan called to let us know that a Kia Soul EX Tech was in the dealership and it was set at a great price. The vehicle was used, and so Ryan let us take it to Parksville to see how it handled over a sustained period of highway driving. It was a great ride. We had dinner at The White Elephant. Still, we weren't ready to capitalize on the opportunity. This Soul sold quickly. Ryan was very patient. My Mother's health was challenging over the winter and Ryan never pushed. With spring here we decided to try a Soul again. We took another test drive in a Soul EX +. It felt fine, but we realized that something was missing. And so we arrived at the process of putting the pieces together on what was needed for the right kind of Soul for my Mother. It is a great credit to Kia that each ascending level of trim adds logical and substantial upgrades to the vehicle. My Mother already would need an EX Premium for the "Push Button Start" and "Power Driver's Seat" to accommodate the arthritis in her hands. Nick Symons was helpful in remarking that he found that the Turbo edition of the Soul was a definite improvement for passing vehicles during highway driving, something we very much value having once owned a Ford Ranger 06 with a fairly anemic 3.0 L V6 with 143 hp. So, we jumped up to a Turbo edition and it wasn't a hard choice to then go to the top of the line with the added "Navigation", "Sun Roof", "Power Passenger Seat", and other amenities that provide so much value for the very reasonable increase in price. So, we found ourselves picking the Kia Soul SX Turbo and it should have been a bigger surprise, but it wasn't. The car is worth every penny of its purchase price. It's a true pleasure to drive. Ryan found it for us in "Wild Orange" and even though it's not the "Acid Green" my Mother really liked (a color Kia used back in its 2012 or 2013 year for the Soul), it still looks very sharp and sassy, with the black accents really adding some contrast to the eye catching orange. We all look forward to going for a drive now (though no joy riding, still worried about the environment). Ryan was fantastic. He waited very patiently and thoughtfully for nearly 9 months to get us into our Soul. In fact, our Soul sat in the showroom for a little over a week waiting for a day my Mother was feeling well enough to go get it, and several customers offered to buy it. Ryan stood firm though, and defended the Soul stalwartly, knowing that though we take our time, our word is good, and once committed, we would make the purchase. Along with Ryan, Jan was very pleasant to do the paperwork with, Dave kindly put our plates on our new Soul and is a steady hand on the tiller of the good ship Harris Kia, while Sierra's bright voice was always nice to hear greeting us when we called the dealership. Nick was always a pleasure to talk to, and, once more, his input on the passing ability of the Turbo over the EX trim level (160 hp vs 201 hp) was decisive in getting us to upgrade to the Turbo edition. Only one young fellow made an off the cuff remark about us, "Finally coming to pick up the Orange Soul." in a manner that seemed to say, "You took your sweet time. What we're you doing?" which we didn't much care for, but that was a small matter we dismissed immediately when compared to the overall great level of satisfaction we had dealing with Harris Kia. Ryan was a true pleasure to deal with as is Harris Kia in totality. We'd highly recommend them if you're looking for a nice vehicle, great service, a good price and satisfying experience! More

First Ever New Car I was in desperate need of a "new to me" vehicle and was liking the sounds of the Kia Rio. Sales rep Nick Symons greeted me right away and ultimately I was in desperate need of a "new to me" vehicle and was liking the sounds of the Kia Rio. Sales rep Nick Symons greeted me right away and ultimately sold me my first ever NEW vehicle, complete with sunroof and heated seats! Love it! You can't beat 0% financing and the price was right. Along with Nick, everyone else in the dealership went above and beyond to help me make this big purchase a great experience. And Rachel Roy was able to get me the best deal and set up my financing in record time. All in all, everyone at Kia went out of their way to make what could be a very stressful endeavour, a mostly painless experience. I would highly recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a new Kia or a used vehicle on their lot. More

We were met by Grant the greeter who showed us a 2014 Sorento, a recent trade in. He showed us around and in the car and then had Christine Wright follow up with a phone call on the Monday. We made an appointment on Wednesday afternoon and were greeted by Christine. She showed us a beautifully detailed Sorento and after driving and being shown all the features we were prepared to buy the vehicle. The genuine, friendly process was the most pleasant vehicle buying experience we have ever encountered. Both Christine and the sales manager John Eivindson and Jan made it so easy and are a real ambassadors for this dealership. A great vehicle, fully serviced but it was the staff that clinched the sale More
