Missed my Christmas vacation thanks to this dealership I bought a used Santa Fe from Guelph Hyundai in mid November with the condition that they install roof racks compatible with my roof rack carrier box. I bought a used Santa Fe from Guelph Hyundai in mid November with the condition that they install roof racks compatible with my roof rack carrier box. I use this box all four seasons including use as a ski carrier during ski season. The salesman was aware of my needs from day one and knew the rack requirements because he had the opportunity to see the installed box on my previous Santa Fe..on multiple occasions. The vehicle was delivered with a rack system incompatible with the rooftop box. The dealership salesman and the general manager promised “everything will be made right” for me. When I finally got past the salesman and was directed to the parts manager, she did an excellent job trying to get the proper racks installed but the delay was too much. It’s now December 27 and I still have no way to carry the roof box. My Christmas vacation is ruined thanks to Guelph Hyundai. The feeling I’ve come away with is this...”make the sale and forget about the customer”. I’ve bought multiple vehicles from this dealership, but this one will be the last. (Tamara and Shelly were great to work with and none of this disaster is related to anything they’ve done.) More
