Walked in a stranger and left feeling like family!!! I had the pleasure of meeting the service staff at Durham Kia on one of the worst days of my life! I am from Nova Scotia and went to Toronto on my ver I had the pleasure of meeting the service staff at Durham Kia on one of the worst days of my life! I am from Nova Scotia and went to Toronto on my very first road trip, just myself and my daughter. On the drive home my year and half old Kia Soul lost all power and died on the 401 at 3:30am. After being towed to Durham Kia I entered the service Dept scared and just a tad panicked as I had no idea what to do I had never broken down before and we were a long way from home. Allan Fera took my info right away told me to grab a coffee and he would take a look at my car. It didn't take very long to figure out the issue my motor had seized due to a leak in my radiator. Though at the time he wasn't sure what had caused this he knew my new dilemma was how do I get myself and my daughter home? I was completely lost and more than a tad freaked out now and completely broke due to the tow truck driver severely overcharging me for the tow. Which I wouldn't have known about if Allan hadn't brought it to my attention. He told me not to worry he would take care of us, I believed him. He arranged for a rental car and got us a ride there, even helped unload my very packed Kia ( which for my first ever road trip I had brought a lot) all the while being so patient and kind to both my daughter and I. Before leaving he even insisted I call him when we arrived home so that he would know we made it home safe. Throughout the repair process Allan was the one (not my insurance company) that kept in touch with me to give me updates on the repairs. When my insurance company wanted to write off my car he went above and beyond to make sure that didn't happen as he knew the car had sentimental value to me ( last present from my recently deceased father in law). I entered Durham Kia a very scared,lost stranger and left feeling like I was part of a family. I have been to many dealerships in my lifetime and I can honestly say that no one has ever treated me the way Allan FERA did! I felt like My business mattered and I wasn't a stranger from a different province I was a part of the Durham Kia family. I highly recommend Durham Kia and the next time I need to buy a car I will even consider traveling from Nova Scotia to Durham Kia to purchase one! That's how nice I was treated. I even had the pleasure of meeting Allan's lovely wife and if they ever find themselves in East Dover,NS I would love to take them out to dinner to say a proper Thank You for all they did for me on the scariest day of my life. I did a research on it its wholesale value over $5000.totally upset me and I broke the deal I would never recommend to anyone More
