Amazing service. Car suddenly stopped working, was worried that it would be an expensive fix. I only have been here once but it will be my last. The service rep Jason has as much personality as a wet paper bag. I’m a friendly person but he wasn’t having it. Maybe he was having a bad day already at 7 am or maybe this is just who he is. Regardless, first impressions in business are everything. He spoke to me in a ridiculously condescending tone. His responses were sarcastic and lacked any form of customer service whatsoever. I left there feeling embarrassed and humiliated. I will not ever go back to this dealership for anything. More
Very poor service. I drove about an hour to get to the dealership. Had many emails with the staff before hand confirming the meeting, what I was trading in, and what car I was taking for a test drive. I g dealership. I get there, and the salesman “James”, had nothing ready, didn’t even remember I wanted to trade in my car, and the car I wanted to test drive was on a hoist in the garage (so I couldn’t even test it out), he then proceeds to insult my father, after we expressed that we aren’t just going to buy the car based on how it looks and that we want to test it out. I then grab my keys and tell him I don’t want to do business with him and he talks back the whole time as we walk to the door. On top of it, he lied about the mileage of the car! I was told 65k, when realistically the car read 95k. Unprofessional, disrespectful, unreliable, and terrible customer service. Especially from James. More
The engine ceased on our 2016 Kia Sportage at 120,000 km on Aug 3/21 and we were towed in to Donnelly Kia Kanata. This was the spot we bought the car and had it serviced regularly here. It took them six and on Aug 3/21 and we were towed in to Donnelly Kia Kanata. This was the spot we bought the car and had it serviced regularly here. It took them six and a half weeks to put a new engine in. We only have one car so had to rent one. The communication during this time was terrible. We had to always call them to find out what was going on and it was always” we’re waiting for parts”.At four weeks we found out they wouldn’t reimburse for the rental ($1623.13), so we returned the car and relied on family and neighbours for rides. Week six we again called to see what was going on and were told the parts just came in that morning, it was a 28 hour job and they would call us when done. Thursday Sept 16 they called us. We got a ride to pick it up and asked to speak to the Service Manager Darren. We spoke with him over an hour, as we felt we should be reimbursed for the rental and also to let him know how bad the service was. He refused to reimburse and said if they refunded us they would have to do the same for everyone else. During our conversation we found out that the engine was faulty and there was a recall on it so it was being fixed under the recall, not our extended warranty… nice to find this out from him, nothing said before. He also kept asking us what the service guys said to us in our calls and kept asking if they used the word “back order”… we couldn’t remember, but they definitely said “waiting for parts”. He left to speak to the service guys to get their story, came back and said the parts were here all along… yeah right, way to throw his employees under the bus. He said if the parts were on back order they would have to pay for our rental… so this was his way around it. He then said since the service was so bad he would speak to the General Manger. He came back and offered us half the rental. We accepted but said we would be going to Kia Canada for the rest. We never received a recall letter from Kia and asked him why. He said we would have to ask Kia Canada. So it’s now Oct 5 and we are still waiting for that cheque. Not very trustworthy and crappy service and they just don’t care. We will never purchase from Donnelly Kia Kanata again. More
Go with the salesman named Barton and you will have an excellent experience. We came in looking for a used car and were blown away by our salesman, Barton, who was beyond amazing. His selling philosophy is low-pressure and his goal was to make sure we drove away happy - and that's just what happened. He guided us through the process and was honest, reliable, friendly and professional. Barton is also very considerate and even followed up after our purchase.
