As someone who has over many years (age 81), purchased a number of vehicles, I must say that the entire process during this transaction was the best I have experienced. Good service with two exceptions We recently bought a 2008 Mazda3 GT from Mazda Mike at Courtenay Mazda. It's always a pleasure dealing with Mike, with his extensive brand knowledge and friendly manner. We're regulars at Courtenay Mazda as we have purchased 2 cars there and currently own 4 Mazdas. Everything went well with the purchase except for two disappointments. The car's battery was listed as "may need attention" on the Inspection Checklist and unfortunately died within the first week. We weren't content with a recharged battery, thus a new battery was promptly installed. Unfortunately, Courtenay Mazda wasn't inclined to assist us with the cost, so we paid for the $200 installation ourselves. Not our usual great experience with Courtenay Mazda. More

Two Totally Different Purchasing Events Seven years ago, I went to Courtenay Mazda looking for a Mazda B2300 pickup which had just been discontinued. I had done a lot of research and wanted Seven years ago, I went to Courtenay Mazda looking for a Mazda B2300 pickup which had just been discontinued. I had done a lot of research and wanted this truck badly. I talked to Mike Milne and he said to leave it with him and in a week, he found a brand new one somewhere and had it shipped to Courtenay. I bought it and am still happily driving it. Sufficient power and great gas mileage. (30 mpg) Kyle and the gentlemen in the service department have been looking after my truck since I bought it and are always ready to answer any questions I may have. Two years ago, I drove a Mazda 3 service loaner for the day as my truck was in for service. As all our vehicles are two seaters, we thought it might be a good deal if we could buy the service loaner, but they said no. Mike came to talk to us and we told him we were just thinking about looking for a reasonable priced 4 seater with good gas mileage, but had done no research. He showed us a couple of different models which were out of our price range and then he showed us this Mazda 2 over at the back of the lot. It needed a bath as it had been sitting near some fir trees and was covered in pollen. He gave us the specs, we took it for a drive and bought it after Mike saw that it was washed. It has been a great car, gets 45 miles per gallon, and the Service guys treat it with love and kindness every time I have to bring it in. We love our B2300 pickup and Mazda 2, as well as our classic RX7. The sad thing is that both the B2300 (and the Ford Ranger, I might add) as well as the Mazda 2 are out of production and will never be made again unless public pressure demands it. I guess that I will just have to baby these two delightful vehicles along for years to come. Many thanks to Mike for making each purchase a memorable experience and Kyle for looking after them. More

Seamed okay dealership to work with The dealership and its employees were very efficient and quite knowledgeable about the vehicle that I purchased. Just like with all dealers there are The dealership and its employees were very efficient and quite knowledgeable about the vehicle that I purchased. Just like with all dealers there are some things which come out differently than expected. after owning the vehicle now for 2 to 3 months some issues came up and I am having problems with getting them resolved.One issue I kind of new about but found out it was caused by an accident which was not reported to me or the inspection of the vehicle by the Mazda Dealership did not pick up.The second issue also was not picked up by the supposed inspection was a incident with the front lower cowling which had been hit and pushed into the condenser for the a/c which over time wore a hole and caused the a/c to become inoperable. The third item which is the most important and the worst noted was they let the vehicle off the lot with 4 tires that were dangerously impaired. they said the tires were down to 40% so should be replaced soon.The tires were all cracked and were separating! I am still waiting for a return call from the management on these issues,it has been 5 days now. More
