Patient and informative Initially an online ad caught my eye... the blurb from Mike Milne was 'different'... he had conjured up a story about the vehicle as being a ' Magnifi Initially an online ad caught my eye... the blurb from Mike Milne was 'different'... he had conjured up a story about the vehicle as being a ' Magnificent Arabian Black Stallion' of a Mazda Tribute he'd rescued. Unsure of the intent, but piqued anyway, I went to see the vehicle. As I am nearly 70 y-o and have had basic vans for many years, I was confounded with things like ABS, turbo, bluetooth, virtual gears - even keyless entry. Mike Milne patiently explained all the new-to-me devices needed on cars/SUVs these days. Although I didn't pick the Tribute, nor the Merc, nor another Tribute, I returned today to say I wouldn't be test-driving them... after all, Mike deserved the courtesy of my personal visit, rather than me just not bothering to show. But right there in front of us was a vehicle that had just come in, and without me really knowing what I wanted, I'd found it.. Mike made it easy for me to buy this Nissan, was patient again as I nervously prattled...it's not every day - especially a full moon day - that I drop several thousands on an impulse. I must mention here that, while Mike was busy with other customers, Chantelle Vaillancourt came along to answer questions we had, and gave us good advice. She was helpful, enthusiastic, and personable, and deserves an 'assist' Throughout I was not subject to any high-pressure sales, nor of any overt salesmanship. I consider that both Chantelle and Mike were honest in their presentations and their dealings with me/us. My companion was also very impressed to the point of wanting to buy a new-to-her vehicle right there and then (a Mustang, but she is prudently waiting until she can find a vehicle befitting an older lady). And she is determined to make that purchase through Courtenay Mazda. We both heartily recommend the company and the sales staff we dealt with. A note on the pricing - I had looked through several websites and dealerships, and found that the pricing is competitive to the point of being a little on the low side, perhaps. Certainly there is good value to be found here. All in all a pleasant - and surprising, since I hadn't made up my mind if I really wanted a new vehicle - couple of visits. Rating 6 stars out of 5 (think about it). More
