Finally, I got fed up and approached my service advisor. While staring at his computer screen he said to me "I am waiting on parts". I asked "Why?" to which he replied that my rear brakes need to be changed. After that he took me to the back to show me my car which had its wheels on the floor and was jacked up in the air. I came in for an oil change. I was kept in the dark about everything. I asked about the condition of the brakes to which the advisor replied with a question about the milage of the vehicle. He is fully aware of the milage. His attitude towards me was absolutely unnecessary. He kept saying that "the rear brakes on these vehicles wear out faster", which to me sounds like a defect rather than something I am responsible for. Once we got back to the service desk he told me it will cost $600 dollars to replace both rear discs and pads. I told him that price is ridiculous and that I do not have that kind of money. I told him I would like to pay for the oil change and get my vehicle back. I had to wait another 45mins on top of the 1.5hrs I already waited to get my vehicle back. During the last 45mins I was yet again kept in the dark as to what is going on with my vehicle. Finally, the advisor showed up letting me know he is ready. I am appalled by the service of this dealership and its negligent staff and management. This is the second I am treated this poorly. The previous scenario led to me being sent out with a bent wheel and a misaligned vehicle. I will not set foot in your dealership ever again. More

Wanted a spec Came in during a Saturday looking to purchase a new vehicle for myself. Maria greeted me at the door and sat me down to discuss details. Wanted a specific colour for my vehicle only to find out it was sold. After a few minutes she remembered they were selling a demo in that colour and that it was a higher trim to the one I looking to get myself. Took for a road test and knew it was the one for me. Deal was made even better with being offered the winter wheels for the vehicle. Even picking up the car was seamless with no hassle. Took her time to explain me the options in the car and even ordered touch up paint for the vehicle. Overall had a great experience purchasing a vehicle from Maria and highly recommend her to anyone looking to purchase/lease a new vehicle from 401 Hyundai! More

Misrepresented/ Bad Customer Service / Rude / Unprofessional I wanted to buy a Hyundai that was eligible for the Electric Vehicle Incentive Program (EVIP). From the 1st day when I walked in I told them my need. I wanted to buy a Hyundai that was eligible for the Electric Vehicle Incentive Program (EVIP). From the 1st day when I walked in I told them my need. I even took the EVIP application and asked the Sales Manager and the Financial Manager if they are OK with filling the application once the deal is signed. The incentive was for $8460.00 which I agreed to pay them upfront and later I would receive a cheque from the Ministry. When asked to reduce the price Darryl kept calculating the price with 8460 + HST when I specifically told him that i will pay 8460.00 as down payment which will include everything even the taxes. When we start arguing he accused me by saying that I am trying to run away from tax and I can’t run away from taxes and I have to pay the tax, or the monthly lease price will change if he include the tax in 8460.00. So eventually I gave up and agreed to pay approx. 1500.00 more. Eventually I signed the deal paid $1500.00 deposit and asked them if they can fill the EVIP application. At that point Bobby told me that once he receives all the information about the car (i.e. VIN#) he will fill the application. FYI I still haven't seen the car as it was at the head office. Then I was told that the car might take some time to get here as it will come on a truck and they are not going to charge me any money to get the car delivered to the dealership and the dealership will bare the cost. Later I was told that the car might have some kilometers on it upon asking how many kilometer they said 10-20 km I said I am ok with that. Then after a couple of days when I went to the dealership to finish some paperwork they told me that since the car is under 200 km radius it will not come by truck and someone will go and drive it all the way to the dealership and that the dealership doesn't pay if the car is within 200 km and if I want to get it on the truck I have to pay out of my own pocket and they will not guarantee the time when the car will arrive. So I allowed them to drive the car to the dealership at they drove it 165 km on a brand new that I still haven't seen. On the day of pick up when I asked them about the application for EVIP Bobby gave me the application and on the application the check box that say is the car "Electric Vehicle" was not checked. So I asked Bobby why didn’t he check mark the box and he said that he didn't check mark it because the car is not an Electric Vehicle and it’s only a standard hybrid which is not eligible for the incentive. At that time, I said I can’t afford to pay $10000.00 for a car that I won’t get back. At that point Bobby said that I have to talk to Darryl. Darryl gets in the room and says that since I signed the deal and this document is a legal copy I have to take the car and pay $10000.00 or else after 7 days there will be legal implications and they will take the case to court. He also disrespectfully gets up from his chair comes right at my face and snaps the deal paper twice saying in quote his exact words “You signed this deal buddy and you can’t do anything now” He was also disrespectful and mean to my dad. Then I asked them for a day and told them that I need to weight my option. After eventually giving up I requested them to transfer the car on Finance because I won’t be paying $10000 on a car and in order to bring the monthly cost down and close to the monthly lease price I had no other option other than going on finance. Once everything was done and going over still going over my budget I signed the deal. This time they added Hidden Cost without asking my permission such as FOB Replacement Cost, Tire Warranty and some other cost. Later when reviewing the document I noticed the hidden cost. So the next day I went and spoke to Bobby regarding the cost and again I was told to talk to Darryl. Darryl said that my dad and I are lying and that he asked us about these cost and we agreed to add these cost the really first day when we came. He even said he can prove it and said that he has written this in my file which he was unable to find and realized that we never made that agreement and later agreed to take them off because it was his fault. Next I was misrepresented about the remote starter when signing the deal for the first time Darryl showed me a 3 way remote starter which cost $899.00 and he calculated the payments accordingly. When I receive the car they only installed 1 way remote starter cost 599.00. Upon arguing and Darryl again claiming that me and my dad both are lying and to finish this argument Bobby said that Hybrid cars are not compatible with 3 way remote starter. I called another Hyundai dealership and they said they 3 way remote starter can be installed and programmed on any car doesn’t matter if it’s Hybrid. So I called the sales associate and told her to ask the service department again if it can be installed and I said that I willing to pay the difference and she later confirmed that yes it can be installed if I pay the difference and I have to leave the car for the whole day. I leave the car and pay the difference when I got my car keys I asked them for the 2 extra FOBs that were part of the 3 way remote starter package and that point the service rep said that we don’t give the extra FOB’s anymore because we were receiving complaints from customers, I insisted on getting the FOB by that point Bobby and Violet showed up when I explained them the situation and Violet asked the service rep to call the service manager he later changed his statement saying that we don’t have the FOBs in stock anymore. Well eventually they agreed to install the FOBs but I have to leave my car again for the whole day. I WAS NOT PROVIDED ANY ACCOMMODATION FOR ALL THESE TROUBLE (I.E. NO LOANER CAR OR RENTAL CAR OR SHUTTLE SERVICE). I had to arrange my own ride back to home and leave work early to pick and drop the car every time. I also got side visors installed which were installed unprofessionally as they were not aligned upon asking Violet she said that’s the best the service people can and that how it supposed to look. Well after 2-3 days later the side visor for the driver and front passenger started coming off so I called Violet and she spoke to Mitch and helped me setup an appointment and once again I had to leave the car for the whole day. Came back the next day to pick up the car and found out and the service rep said that they have installed new side visors which was not correct they also left the old glue on the chrome and re stick the side visors on top of the old glue which resulted in old glue melting all over the chrome. When I asked them to at least remove the glue that is visible they said that I have to come again during summer time because apparently they can’t remove the glue in winter (month: April). After a about a 1 ½ week the side visor from the driver side started coming off. So I called Violet and asked told her that I would like take these visors off and get a refund. Violet spoke to Cameron and agreed to remove the side visors and give me a refund now at this point I have to leave the car for the day but I was provided a rental this time. The day my dad dropped the car my dad spoke to Darryl and Violet regarding the refund and asked them if it will be ready on the day I pick my car. Darryl said that he will take the responsibility for arranging the cheque for refund and he guaranteed that it will be ready the next day for pick up. So the next day I went to pick up my car and as expected the cheque was not ready. I asked the service lady about the refund and if she can find out where I can pick up the cheque she rudely said that she doesn’t know anything about it and I will have to call someone tomorrow to find out about the cheque. I asked her if I can speak to a manager she said no one is here at this time and she can’t help me with anything. She gave the keys and didn’t ask to sign any paperwork. At that point my dad gave her my car keys and my car as told her that I will pick my car when my cheque is ready and took the rental car. Within 10 minutes I get a call from Greg (Senior Sales Manager) saying that he needs the rental car back I explained him the situation he explained me nicely and said that he will make sure that the cheque is ready for pick up the next day. So I had to drive back again the next day to pick up the cheque. I have contacted the Hyundai Corporation and all they did is prepared a case # and forward it to the dealership. The Principal Dealer (Drew) has contacted me once said that he will take some action it’s been over a month I haven’t heard anything from him. The principal dealer also confirmed that he told Darryl the really first day that the car they are selling me is not eligible for the incentive program (EVIP). Also last week when I went for my side visor removal and spoke to the Senior Sales Manager Greg he also confirmed that he told the sales rep Violet Johnson the really first day that the car being sold to me is not eligible for the incentive program they KEPT that information hiding from me and lied/misguided me every time when I ask them about filling the application. SO PLEASE DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY AND TIME AND DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM 401 DIXIE HYUNDAI. More
