I have been looking for a truck that would fit my needs for myself and my family for a couple of m Let me tell you about my experience this past week. I have been looking for a truck that would fit my needs for myself and my family for a couple of months. I had been looking online mostly at Dodge Rams and Toyota Tacomas. I sent an email off on a build and price for a Tacoma sport. This was last Sunday. I expected to get a response likely Monday. To my surprise the phone rang the same day Sunday afternoon and it was Rashid. He explained that he had a truck very much like what I was looking for in the showroom at Whitby Toyota. I’m in Oshawa and work in Whitby so we made a plan for the next day so I could have a look. Rashid and I hit it off right on the phone before I even met him in person having a laugh about work and kids and family. I was looking forward to meeting the guy with the British accent on the other end of the phone. I work night shift so after working Sunday night I drove by the dealership in the morning at the crack of dawn to peek through the window on my way home. It was a beauty. Inferno orange just gleaming at me. During the day the phone rang from a sales man at Whitby Dodge. I told the sales guy I could visit him the following day, Tuesday. He pressured me and told me how busy he was and said that he’s got 5 deals on the go and that he’s swamped but he’ll fit me in. I went for the meeting in the afternoon with Rashid to look at the Tacoma. Him and I had a great chat about my British heritage, working as a crane operator, family, kids, sports...... it was very inviting and relaxed dealing with him. We worked out the numbers, he helped make a trade in that I had work with the deal, after a couple of hours, a nice coffee and a lovely chat, we had a deal. I leased this beautiful Tacoma. I left feeling great about my first Toyota experience. Rashid contacted me a couple of times during the week to give me updates, he contacted my auto insurance and straitened out the paperwork, infact, knowing I was working all week, he went the extra mile to have them fax over a copy of the new insurance slip while they dropped the original in the mail for me. Thursday came and it was pick up day. Murphy’s law, someone at work mistook my car keys from the trade in vehicle for something else. I scrambled trying to hunt them down and was therefore running late. I was suppose to be at Toyota at 6 or 6:15, I called Rashid and said I’m held up I won’t make it till after 7. He was more than accommodating and made me feel like it was no problem at all. I found the keys, drove to Toyota where I met my wife and introduced her to Rashid, we had a laugh, she signed her ownership and bill of sale over as the trade in was in her name. She had to run so now it was just Rashid and I. We were already running late but Rashid and I went through all the details and then had a great chat about Indian and middle Eastern food that we both love. Rashid is only a year in from England so I told him about our favourite spot and he told me about an amazing Shwarma spot in Toronto that I didn’t know about. We went back and forth and laughed about how much we felt like going out to eat together! We wrapped up with a visit to the service department and the parts department where everyone was friendly and explained how it all goes. Then off to the parking lot to hop into this orange beauty. We went through all the systems and off I went but not before Rashid extended an invitation to get together and watch some soccer and have a drink together sometime. I can tell you this....... I never bothered to even go to the Dodge dealer after the original meeting with Rashid. He was hands down the best person I’ve ever dealt with figuring out a deal on anything I’ve ever purchased. I enjoyed the time I spent with him and at the end of that, jumped into the truck I’ve been dreaming about for years. You guys have a real gem on your hands with Rashid. He was absolutely fantastic. I’ve already given his card to some friends at work who are interested in upgrading their vehicles. Thank you so much to Rashid and Whitby Toyota for the this excellent experience. FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE I have known Gary for over 25 years and have now purchased my second vehicle from him and the Whitby Toyota gang. Gary was extremely knowledgeable about the Highlander I was looking at as well as all the different finance options available. Gary was very focused on my needs by asking me a lot of questions to ensure what we finally came up with met my expectations and financial budget. It did not stop there! When I came to pick up the Highlander Gary spent almost an hour going through the key features of the SUV making sure when I drove away I had a very good understanding of all the features and functions of the vehicle.....Thank goodness as there was a lot to learn :) Gary's very relaxed "No Pressure" support combined with his excellent knowledge of Toyota vehicles makes him "One of the Best" and I would recommend him and the Dealership who did excellent service work on my Camry for the last 5 years to anyone who asks. Amazing Service! I was on my way home from work one night, on my way to a Chevy dealership to sign my life away for an Equinox. I had always leased from Toyota, but th I was on my way home from work one night, on my way to a Chevy dealership to sign my life away for an Equinox. I had always leased from Toyota, but thought I would try something new. However in the back of my mind, I really wanted to know what a Rav4 would cost. I stopped into Whitby Toyota and was instantly drawn to the Rav4 in the showroom. A few minutes later, David approached me and asked me how he could help. I told it to him straight up - on my way to Chevrolet, want to see Rav4 pricing. He brought me to his desk and crunched some numbers. to my pleasant surprise, the Rav4 was the same price as the Equinox, but what I got out of it was SOOO much more! A sunroof, leather interior, AWD, tinted windows, and the best part (for me) was that I could get it in the colour I wanted - something Chevy wasn't allowing me to do. Shawn pulled up a Rav4 for me to test drive right away. I took it off the lot and was instantly aware this was the vehicle for me! He asked 'do you want to go on the highway?' And I said "Nope, I've made my decision." We went back to the dealership and started working on paperwork. Within days, I was approved and Shawn told me I could pick up my car Tuesday. I was kinda hoping to have it by the weekend (this was Wednesday) but he explained he is so busy, and I totally understood. It would give me a chance to drive my Corolla a little while longer. On Thursday, Shawn called me and said I could pick up my car tomorrow (Friday) instead of Tuesday! I was so excited. This morning (Friday) I picked up my new Rav4 - in blue- and was so impressed with everything David and Shawn did for me. They not only got me into the Rav4, but Shawn was amazing at showing me everything that is familiar and new to me from my Corolla to the Rav4. The level of professionalism and courtesy and a few jokes here and there really made my experience an amazing one. I know now that I should have just skipped the whole ordeal with Chevy (what was I thinking??) and come to Toyota in the first place. Now I am reminded why I come back time and time again. This is my 4th lease with Toyota and I will come back to Whitby Toyota next time too. Amazing service with a smile, and I am one completely satisfied customer! Thank you David for giving me a great deal, and thank you so much to Shawn who was so helpful and accommodating in every way and got me into my new car faster than expected!
