Hello, My name is Tyler Medland and I am proud to be a Product Advisor at Charlesglen Toyota in the NW of Calgary, AB. I have been in the automotive industry for over 6 years now and cars and trucks are my passion in life. I was born in Calgary, AB and moved to Seattle, Washington in the United States at the young age of 4 years old. I spent most of my life in Seattle and moved to Coeur d'Alene, Idaho when I was 17 for my senior year in high school. My brother moved back to Canada in 2010 and most of my family lives in the Calgary area. I wanted more opportunities than Coeur d'Alene had to offer and be closer to my family, so I made the decision to move back up to Calgary. I found Charlesglen and had the opportunity to work here which I absolutely love! He was an excellent person to meet with because he asked about my driving preferences and needs, and then focused on the models of cars that would suit me. He was able to respond to all of my questions including the potential to use current rims and tires on a new model. It was a very comfortable experience because Tyler was focused on finding the car that suited me best. Thanks, Tyler! More

Great experience. I was looking for a particular model Dodge Charger/Chrysler300 on Kijiji and 4 or 5 came up that I was interested in. Went and looked at 2 in 2 diffe I was looking for a particular model Dodge Charger/Chrysler300 on Kijiji and 4 or 5 came up that I was interested in. Went and looked at 2 in 2 different Dodge dealers and the first one I decided against, the second one was so pushy, had me sat down, doing the paperwork within 3 mins of showing me a car so I made my excuses and left. The next one was at Charles Glen Toyota. I went inside, met Tyler and asked to see the car I was interested in. Had a look, went for a drive and decided to buy. Tyler explained everything I asked and got various people to come and explain the process of buying a car there. This is very different and easy compared to some of the usual B.S you get fed at some other dealerships. The only one downside to this dealer and virtually every dealer is the constant promoting of the 'Extended Warranty.' of which frankly, when you read the fine print and the reviews for it, isn't worth the paper it's written on. More

Great service, great people. I wanted a Scion IQ. I'm a female purchaser. I appreciated Tyler's assistance. He was polite, helpful, and good to deal with. He didn't use "sales I wanted a Scion IQ. I'm a female purchaser. I appreciated Tyler's assistance. He was polite, helpful, and good to deal with. He didn't use "sales bafflegab", or try to upsell me. He was happy to show me the used car I asked about. He talked to me, the buyer, instead of talking over my head to my husband. I really appreciated that! The car was pre-owned by a Charlesglen employee (hi Jim!) who was even kind enough to give me his wheels and tires without any extra charge (Jim had upgraded the tires and wheels on the car; he gave me the original set as well as the upgrades, which saved me a thousand dollars or so). Great assistance from a confirmed for life Toyota owner! More

A great vehicle shopping experience When I first came into the dealership I was greeted by the very friendly manager, and soon introduced to Tyler Medland for vehicle consultants. Tyler did a great job showing me the options of the cars that I was interested in and he also went on 2 test very helpful test drives with me. He is very patient, funny, and professional and he really made the whole experience quite enjoyable. I would definitely recommend him to anyone who is looking for a new/used Toyota! More

New RAV4 After 10 years and a hail damage, it was time to get a new car.
