Was interested in a 2018 Subaru Brz. - Jason Nguyen
Was interested in a 2018 Subaru Brz. David Lao, who I messaged through text message, claimed that in order to hold a vehicle, I must put a 1000$ deposit down and sign a bill of sale to HOLD the vehicle. I asked him if signing a bill of sale mean I will purchase the vehicle, he says no unless financing gets approved and the deposit will be refunded if the financing didn't go through. I sign the bill of sale, because there was no bank contract regarding my financing. I tell him the next day I'm no longer interested. He says I will not only lose my refundable deposit, but I'm obligated to purchase the vehicle under the bill of sale contract. Yet, he never messaged me back regarding my approval, making me assume they will send me a bank contract regarding my financing which conveniently, he mentions that it JUST got approved. He says it's no longer in his hands and I gotta talk to Dan. I call Dan, and he says it's a done deal and I can only talk to the used vehicle sales rep to get the final say, which CONVENIENTLY he won't be in until the next day. Extremely condescending folks who are looking to scam people. These people are so desperate for people to buy their xxxxty cars WITH an accident history that they will force you to sign a bill of sale to "hold" a car. Last I checked, Daniel McMullen the authorized rep, never signed the bill of sale either and there was no financing contract to sign. A signature by the carfax claim was not signed either. Never gave them a void cheque. They are trying to scare me from backing out of a "purchase", and I refuse to be bullied into taking it. They want me to jump through hoops to contact the right guy instead of just giving me back my deposit and live to sell the car another day. I hope you read this, and give me back my deposit. I've never been forced to sign a bill of sale to hold a deposit at ANY other dealer that I talked to. They were 100% refundable. Even after signing a bill of sale (which I didn't), a dealer told me I could get my money back without any issues. So stay clear of these guys. They are not worth your well earned money. Any dealer that needs to pull a stunt like this don't deserve a penny. They better be kissing my feet and cooking me hot meals every night before I consider forgiving them, let alone buying from them.
