Car: EV6 AWD with GT Line Pkg 2
Reason: 2-year warrantee maintenance service
My 2-year old EV6 (13,564 km) was running perfectly, but Kia expects owners of electric vehicles, in order to maintain warrantee coverage, to have inspections made yearly or by certain kilometers travelled, so I made an appointment for the service.
After having concerns about service being performed inadequately, or just not done, on previously owned cars from other dealerships, I wanted to be certain that Lockwood Kia did the service they said they would do, and I was paying for. So, I meticulously prepared may vehicle so that I would be able to tell, by observing certain areas for physical disturbance to see, if indeed, the required inspection was done. I was told that the job would take about an hour to complete barring any unexpected delays. I saw that my car was in and out of the service bay in about 15 minutes, not closer to an hour, and was determined to find out why.
After a discussion, I am pleased to report that my concerns were unfounded, and that the personnel I dealt with over the phone, (Kevin), and in person, (Shianne, Derek, and Peter) had addressed all of my concerns professionally with straightforward explanations.
I have no hesitation in having Lockwood Kia perform needed service on my vehicle in the future, with the honesty and integrity that was shown to me today, and I encourage their personnel to keep up the good customer relations.
