As a longtime Chevy loyalist, a recent car accident that nearly took my life, put me back into a Chevy showroom even though my 2017 Equinox was running like a champ, pre accident. After my car was totaled, it was not even a question that I would find myself back in the drivers seat, but this time, a new one. I wanted to shop a little closer to work and Elkins Chevrolet mapped out from my office was only three miles away. I decided to walk in on Friday on my way home from and I was quickly greeted by a young man named Leo. I told Leo about my recent accident and what brought me in. He educated me on a few of the new upgrades the Chevy Equinox showcased and explained how it really is a new car altogether. I decided I’d set a follow up appointment for the next day with my husband, and boy am I glad I did! After a few hours with Leo and Sales Manager, Bob, I walked the lot of their extensive inventory, test drove the 2025 Chevy Equinox, discussed and negotiated pricing, arranged financing and finalized my new car purchase. Leo even gave me a full tutorial on the new advances in technology, synced my Bluetooth and had me on the phone with On Star to set up everything I’d need to safely drive away into the sunset, this time in a new car! My wife had been considering the Equinox EV since 2024, but at the time, I convinced her to go with the Tesla Model Y because it was a proven vehicle and the top-seller in its category. Additionally, the Equinox EV wasn’t available, with a wait time of at least 2 to 3 months for dealerships in South Jersey, and we simply couldn’t wait that long. However, we never lost interest in the Equinox EV. When Richard Kobrin from Elkins Chevrolet reached out via text about a month ago to check if I was still interested, things began to move forward. I received quotes from Elkins Chevrolet, Chevrolet of Turnersville, Hessert Chevy in Philadelphia, and Cherry Hill, with Elkins offering by far the best deal. Their location was also a plus, as it was close to our home and convenient for a stop while returning from work. On a Sunday, we even stopped by to check out their inventory and narrowed our color options down to Radiant Red and Galaxy Gray Metallic. I started messaging them right away, and by Monday, the conversation turned serious. The team at Elkins was fantastic, providing consistent, high-quality responses to all my inquiries, no matter who I was speaking with. In addition to Richard, I worked with Jonathan, Bill Wiler, Bob, and Adam, and they worked seamlessly as a team to make everything easy for me. Bill’s extensive EV experience was particularly helpful. The discounts at this dealership were substantial, and with the FTC and ChargeUp NJ rebates, the purchase made perfect sense. We’re also planning to install solar panels this summer, which will further offset the cost of ownership. Overall, it was an excellent experience at this dealership, and they truly went above and beyond to make things happen for us. They gave me a free ride from my home to dealership to pick the new EV. We are very satisfied! More
