My name is Maria Miranda and I have been using Regal Kia for my car’s service since I bought it there two and a half years go. Yesterday, May 17th 2022 I had a bad experience at the Regal Kia in Lakeland for my car’s service since I bought it there two and a half years go. Yesterday, May 17th 2022 I had a bad experience at the Regal Kia in Lakeland, on Bartow Road, the first time since I bought my Kia Forte there. I was always very happy with the service and never had any complains before but now I am afraid to take my car there again. I took my car in for an oil change and Misty was the lady who attend me. She notified me by text message that I should change the air conditioning filter but as I didn't have much time I notified back that I wouldn't do it this time. I paid for the oil change but when I got in the car to leave I noticed a bunch of dry leaves on the passenger side carpet, as if a trash can had been spilled inside my car. I also noticed a noise in the air conditioning, as if something was hitting the fan. I turned off the car and told Misty that something was wrong since there was not any noise on the air conditioner before. She called a mechanic and after a while she came back holding the air conditioning filter corroded in the middle, and told me that was the reason for the noise and that is why I needed to change the filter. Turns out it wasn't making any noise before I took the car in for an oil change and in fact the destroyed area of the filter indicates that when they put the filter back in place they mispositioned it crooked and the fan impellers hit and damaged the filter. Afraid of them damaging some other part of my car I feel obligated to accept to do the service and pay $70.00 for it. It seems to me that since I didn't agree to change the air conditioning filter they damaged the filter to force me to accept the change. I've always had great service at Regal Kia of Lakeland but now I don’t know if I can rely on their service anymore. I was forced to do the service that I didn't want to at that time for fear they would damage some other part of my car and also I ended up missing a meeting that I had scheduled due to the delay. I think this is bad for your business reputation and I am planning to alert everyone about that so people don’t have this terrible feeling that they were ripped off like I am feeling now. ________________________________ More

This was the quickest oil change I've ever had there and I have been using this service center for my Kia's oil changes for quite a few years. The staff was very helpful in getting to the right area. The service personel, especially John, is true ambassador for this dealership. I went in for service on my 2018 soul and couldn't pass up the great offer on my new one. That shows good management and team work. This is my third Kia soul. Salesman Greg did a superior job!!
