My service experience at BMW of Sarasota I had a service scheduled with Carlos to have my tire replaced, aligned, and oil change. He was very prompt and kind. He also answered all of my quest I had a service scheduled with Carlos to have my tire replaced, aligned, and oil change. He was very prompt and kind. He also answered all of my questions and was honest and knowledgeable about my vehicle and it’s needs. I really appreciate his hospitality and would refer him and BMW of Sarasota to anyone! $4K for things that weren’t wrong Brought my car in for a check engine light. Felt assured everything would be ok because when I purchased the vehicle I purchased a “bumper to bumper” Brought my car in for a check engine light. Felt assured everything would be ok because when I purchased the vehicle I purchased a “bumper to bumper” extended warranty with a massive list of covered parts only to find the two items that were wrong with my car were not covered. I also find out I need total replacement of both my front and rear brakes to the tune of $4000 for all the services I need. Brakes that have never made a sound. Never grabbed, pulled, jolted, or so much as squeaked even when wet. 3mm front and 5 mm rear. Computer in the car still said another 3000 miles until due. I asked for my keys and went for a second opinion to a nearby reputable shop with BMW certified techs. They pulled the brake pads front and back. I measured myself with the tech a smooth 5mm front driver side, 6mm front passenger, and 6mm on both the rear. Slight lip on the rotor. Another 10K miles front, and probably 20K on the back according to the second shop. Leaking oil gasket on the front was spilled oil from a sloppy oil change 2 months ago. No oil in the engine compartment. None EVER on the ground under the vehicle. “Leaking oil” was bone dry. BMW said it would drip on my belt. Belt would slip, and it would destroy my engine. The only thing that was agreed upon by both shops was the dmtl pump which was replaced with OEM parts for $350 less than the quote at BMW. I feel incredibly scammed by this whole interaction. I will, I’m sure, buy another BMW because I love the brand and the vehicles, but I will never return for service, nor will I ever purchase an extended “bumper to bumper” warranty. I just moved to this area from Chicago 6 weeks ago and this was not my experience with my dealer there. Always felt like they treated me honestly and all of my service was done there even after my regular warranty expired. To say the least I am disappointed with my experience. All the more disappointing as I convinced my father to buy a brand new ‘19 X5 at this dealer. Our experience with the sales team there was excellent. Wish this translated to the service team as well. More

Service was very good. I have a major complaint about how my Z3 was treated. There are scuff marks on the rear number and right front fender. The paint has been scratched off in both places, and I expect BMW of Sarasota to make the necessary cosmetic repairs. More

Awesome service center Carlos and his team went above and beyond for me. I encountered a mysterious engine problem on my 2019 m4. I called them at 1:30, had and appointment Carlos and his team went above and beyond for me. I encountered a mysterious engine problem on my 2019 m4. I called them at 1:30, had and appointment at 2:00. I expressed to Carlos I was from Miami and was due to leave around 5:30 due to work obligations, Carlos said he would do everything to get me back on the road. He delivered. Within two hours his team diagnosed and fixed the problem, on a Saturday ! I can’t speak higher of this service team and Carlos. Without them I would have been stranded 3 hours from home. Don’t hesitate, this is the best bmw dealership I have ever been to. They truly treat you like family. More
