I’ve had good experiences with service. Cameron is a gem. A straight shooter. I also like the videos provided by the mechanic. I had the rotors and wheels on my 2015 F83 M4 replaced at BMW Sarasota at the end of May. As soon as I received my car from service, I noticed my steering wheel shaking. During their inspection, the dealership told me I needed new tires, so I initially thought the shaking was tire-related. However, it became clear that the problem started after they replaced my rotors and performed an alignment. In fact, the alignment even damaged my front tires, forcing me to replace both. Even after installing brand-new tires, the steering wheel shake persisted. My own mechanic confirmed that the issue was with the rotors, not the tires. When I brought this back to BMW Sarasota, they refused to honor the warranty, claiming the problem was caused by the wheels overheating and coming into contact with water. After I refused to accept their explanation, the service manager, Josh Cash, personally came for a test drive. He stated that he believes the rotors are not damaged (even his service department says damaged), but are typical drilled rotors for M4s, and told me that if I didn’t want to feel the shake, I would have to brake harder. I was shocked that he claimed this level of steering wheel shake is normal and offered no solution—a completely unacceptable response, especially since other owners of the same model do not experience this problem. Steering wheel shakes occur during both light and hard braking. To make matters worse, the receipt clearly states a 12,000-mile / 1-year warranty on rotors and brake pads, yet after spending $2,000, the dealership refuses to address the defective parts. As a BMW driver who pays a premium price, I believe this is not the way customers should be treated. BMW service is extremely expensive, and people can get the same work done at other mechanics for much less. I chose BMW because of the labor and part warranty, but this experience shows otherwise. Our family owns three BMWs, and after this experience, we will never return to BMW Sarasota dealership. They are smiley until they make the sale! Terrible experience overall More
