Tried to Buy a 2016 Murano, but... - Roughrider
After much research on the 2016 Murano, I was ready to deal. The salesperson I dealt with was Mark Westberg. We went on a test drive and the Murano is a very nice SUV. Mark did a good job explaining many of the features of the Murano, however he is not the friendliest salesperson you will ever meet. He comes across as "old school" and gruff. He and the owner took my trade-in for a drive and then the owner and the dealership dog...an actual dog...sat down with me for a quick chit chat to try to make me feel like family so I'm more likely to buy from them. Finally, I went into negotiations with Mark. However, there were no negotiations. He offered me MSRP and that's it! Who buys a new vehicle at MSRP?!! He also assessed my trade-in at a very low value. When I tried to dicker with him, he would not budge. He became rude and basically told me "he and his 30 years of car sales experience knew more than I ever would". Needless to say, I got out of there pretty quick! Don't waste your time or money at this dealership! And beware...Mark made it very clear that they do not charge "dealer or document fees", but then proceeds to add on $299 for undercoating. What a scam!
