The first time I walked into City Mazda, no one greeted... - cr676691
The first time I walked into City Mazda, no one greeted me. So I left and bought a car elsewhere. Two years later I came back because I really wanted a Mazda. They said they would trade my car in for a car with the same features, specifically Apple Car Play. When I picked the car up, it did not have Apply Car Play. When I contacted the Sales person who sold me the car via email, I heard no response. I had also purchased a 4-year maintenance package. Every time I go in there, Merry, a service center employee is so rude and short! I actually avoid her now. I am only going there because I pre-purchased 4 years of maintenance. Afterwards, I will be taking my business elsewhere. I have had nothing but negative experiences there. My car is only two years old and I've had to take it in to get things fixed already. As a woman, I also felt the service team patronized me. For example, my rotors were worn and I couldn't remember what they were called. When I explained the item that I was having issues with, the guy went out to look at my tires and said that I just have dirt on them. Excuse me sir, I'd know if I only had dirt on my tired! I have a graduate degree, I am not an idiot!! He insisted this was the problem. I had to call a man and get him to explain the problem before I was heard. I will NEVER buy a car from this location again. I would rather drive to Truro before I'd get another car from them. Its a shame because I do like Mazda vehicles. Prior to being with City Mazda, I dealt with Oregan's. They are amazing! The service department were always friendly, the sales person would always ask me how my studies were going when I went in to get my services done... I would definitely recommend shopping elsewhere for your Mazda needs...
I have two Mazda’s a CX5 and a Mazda 3, both great cars.... - Barryg
I have two Mazda’s a CX5 and a Mazda 3, both great cars. The sales team at Steele Mazda were amazing, I cannot say enough positive about them.
However Steele Mazda’s service is not a positive experience. I have enough disputes with them that I have now moved the service of both vehicles to a private company.
The last disagreement was over them unable to remove a nut from the 2017 Mazda 3 so they could do an alignment. In order to remove the nut they would have remove and replace part of the front end to the tune of 8 hundred and some dollars.
My private mechanic did an alignment on the car and there was no nut “frozen”. I let you judge why a small mechanic shop could do what a well equipped Mazda dealership wanted 800 dollars for. My total bill at the other shop, for oil change, change over of seasonal tires and an alignment was 2 hundred dollars.
The CX5 wipers have never cleared snow properly, it is dangerous to drive in the winter storms. Their hi tech shop have never been able to fix that problem either. The latest solution is I go buy winter wipers from another dealer as they do not sell them.
The final complaint is how some of the staff, and I emphasize some staff, which rotate fairly frequently, are allowed to speak to customers. The last time I was in a service advisor told me to go and sit and wait, like I was a child, when my car was not coming out of service. She did not go in to see what was happening. That was when I lost it and I am not proud of that. But I will never ever have a car serviced at Steele Mazda again.
