Historically, my experience with Whitby Toyota has been positive. The purchasing process was excellent, and they are generally great for oil changes and routine maintenance. However, I am seriously beginni positive. The purchasing process was excellent, and they are generally great for oil changes and routine maintenance. However, I am seriously beginning to question their competency when it comes to complex diagnostic work. My RAV4 developed software issues and a check engine light came on. The service department’s solution was to replace the entire computer, which cost me over $2,000. Now, less than a year later, the exact same problem has recurred. When you spend that kind of money on a major repair, you expect the root cause to be fixed. Now I am left questioning either the honesty or the skill level of the technicians handling complex jobs. Fine for basic maintenance, but I would be very cautious trusting them with expensive electrical or software repairs. More

Vanity has seized this man and his dealership. Truly pathetic and irresponsible behavior. They have tried every deceitful trick available i.e., - your car in old, or it was damaged by another garage before we touched it -- all lies. Such a disappointment that a business man would resort to telling lies and behaving in such an unprofessional manner that not only diminishes him a person, but the entire Toyota brand. Can't wait for the Chinese cars to come to Canada, because I can't say that I will every buy another Toyota...Why because I hate Liars! More
