oil change on a cold day I took my Rav in for an oil change and I was told due to the extremely cold weather the usual car wash was not happening. I begged my service rep as we had just returned from a long car trip and the vehicle was covered in salt and sand. When my servicing was done, my Rav appeared clean and shining. I knew about the newer Corollas as I had recently used one as a rental car, and enjoyed the experience. I still shopped around: Mazda, KIA, Ford, VW, but Whitby Toyota was my last stop. All dealerships/cars had their pros and cons, but it was the consistently fantastic reviews about Toyota's reliability, coupled with the experience I had dealing with Gary Brown, that sealed the deal. I cannot recommend Gary Brown enough. I found he was patient (I know little to nothing about cars and what a "good deal" is), knowledgeable, and respectful of my concerns about money (and what I could get for it). He followed up his claims about reliability, fuel economy, etc. with solid evidence, which I appreciated, but wasn't too "sales-y" while trying to sell me on my car. My only "complaint" would be that the 'money talk' (down payments, warranties, interest payments) was a bit difficult for me to wrap my head around at times, and I wish that it was explained a bit more thoroughly with me (not to the fault of Gary, more so who I spoke to in management). However, I was more than likely one of the least car-savvy people to have walked into that dealership...so I'm not sure that others would have the same experience. Overall, I really enjoyed my experience at Toyota. Thanks Gary! More
