Steve has a very friendly manner and was honest and knowledgeable about the product. I live in Thunder Bay so much of the transaction was completed by phone or email. Steve made the process easy and kept me informed every step of the way. I appreciate that he listened to what I wanted and was consistently positive and helpful. Thanks, Steve! More

The team is generally efficient and get you on your way, which is very much appreciated. And they detailed the car well prior to pick up. A couple things to watch out for, and be aware of. There is a mandatory security package (for used vehicles at least) which will be added onto any negotiated price. It's a couple hundred dollar add on that wasn't disclosed over the phone and I only found it out when signing, with no option to remove it. At that point, just include it as a part of the negotiated price? Don't artificially increase the price through mandatory "add ons". Finally, when actually picking up the car they are very pushy about leaving five star Google reviews for the dealership. To the point where the sales person will have you write it on their computer and read over what you wrote. It left a very poor impression at the end of the sale. I understand that it must be used for compensation/bonus systems, but it comes across as a sleazy way of increasing ratings artificially. Didn't effect the actual car buying experience at all, but customer service wise, it was highly uncomfortable. More

WORST CUSTOMER EXPERIENCED EVER!!!! Calvin Alon basically single handedly RUINED my car buying experience at Whitby Oshawa Honda. Went in on Saturday and settled on a 2015 Honda Civic touring edition. Calvin was the financial service manager assigned to us. He started trying to sell us extended warranties and rust-proofing packages. He could tell that we were very unsure so he told us that he would calculate the price to include it, have time to think about it before we come pick up the car and if we decide that we didn't want it, to let him know before we pay for the car and he will take it out of the total price. After much consideration, we decided not to take the warranty, and on the day of pick-up (Tuesday), I went into Calvin's office to let him know. This is where it all went downhill. He told me that he already registered the warranty and can't do anything about it. After I mentioned our conversation, he told me that even if he did cancel it, he would have to increase the price of the rust-proofing, since it was a "package deal" and take back the oil-changes he "gifted" us. To my frustration, I agreed. He then said that he told us that we had to let him know BEFORE we came to pick up the car if we did not want the extended warranty, and that we were being very "unprofessional" letting him know last minute, didn't know you had to be "professional" customers...to purchase a vehicle... (Before all this, we had been e-mailing back and forth as I was hesitant on my purchase, but ultimately decided to go through with it. But hours after I left the dealership and started having concerns I let him right away.) I then kept assuring him that if I had known, I certainly would have let him know (as I did with my concerns about the purchase through e-mail), but that is not what I got from our conversation, or atleast I tried to say that...you see, he kept cutting me off and telling me it didn't matter (would not let me talk). I asked him if he could try see it from our point of view and he flat out said "no, it just doesn't make sense". My boyfriend asked if he could just tell him our side of it, and he kept saying "no, it doesn't matter anymore". He then asked me back for the gift card for the oil change (which I had yet to receive) and said he thinks the price of the rust-proofing is actually $200 more than the original price he told me on Saturday. You see, I can understand if it was a misunderstanding. But how Calvin handled the whole situation is COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE, especially since this company prides itself in customer service. I was EXTREMELY frustrated and upset, as I felt like I'm the one who kept having to apologize and be level-headed about the while situation. Calvin was basically yelling at us while talking down to us, blaming the whole situation on us and kept cutting us off when we tried to speak our truth. Oh, and he also said I costed him a "sale" because he was too busy trying to cancel the warranty that he couldn't process another deal for another customer. (I for some reason, apologized...again...) Oh, and here is the best part...2 seconds after he started the paperwork, he turned to us and said that we have 30 days to cancel, we can cancel the warranty ourselves if we really don't want it. THANKS! (I told him no, because I don't want to pay for something I did not want in the first place...and how can we trust him on that??? Also, I was so tempted to just walk out on the deal, but they had my $1000 deposit) He then sent us to our sales person Jordan (who is AWESOME by the way) to finish up. After Jordan saw how upset we were, he was able to bring over the floor manager Frank. Right before Frank came over, Calvin came over and tried to apologize for his rude behavior. At this point I was so boiling mad, I couldn't even talk. I did NOT accept his apology, I almost started yelling, I was so mad. It felt like he was just trying to cover his bases before the manager came over.. Talking to Frank, he assured us that this situation was going to be taken up the the general manager the next day, ensured that all the prices were right for our sale (because at this point we did NOT trust Calvin), and still gave us the gift card. After all this, shout outs to JORDAN CROSSFIELD, their ALL-STAR team member. HE was very patient and understanding, and VERY professional. He tried saved what was left of the night, and even stayed back an hour after closing to ensure that everything was a smooth and easy process. I would give his customer service 5+++ stars! More
