I called Roadsport Honda right away and they were able to squeeze me in the same day and finished with my car in 45 min. Don't waste your time at Toronto Honda ... their employees were also very condescending and seemed like they didn't care about people's other engagements. They offered to get me a rental IF I PAID FOR THE INSURNACE AND GAS .... NO THANKS that's why I have my own car!!! More

If you're a woman they will offer you less than the price of selling your car's tires on kijiji for a fully functional car. If you're looking for a good customer experience, I'd advise you to visit another Honda dealership. More

They took advantage of first time customers We inquired about a car they advertised for lease and was met by Emily Lee. We told her we had no idea what we were doing as it was our first time leasing a vehicle. She told us the car was immaculate and kept in pristine condition as it was an employees lease takeover. The employee was there to assure us it was an amazing vehicle. It seemed to be a great experience. As our lease came up we tried several times to contact Emily about getting a new lease /possibly purchasing but she never responded. When we called she was always away from her desk /absent. We moved to Burlington so went to Honda there where they told us or vehicle was actually in a huge accident a few weeks before we took over the lease. We'll over $5000 worth of damage. We were livid. We were a family with 2 infants driving in a car that had considerable structural damage done to it and now was worth nothing upon trading in. Both Toronto Honda employees new very well we wouldn't know to check the car proof report as they continuously told us how "immaculate" the car was. Burlington Honda helped us out tremendously. We tried to contact Toronto Honda several times after we found out through phone and email and they avoided us every time. All I can do now is quite reviews hoping no one has to go through the same thing. Shame on you Toronto Honda for not even responding to us to apologize. More

I walked in ready to pay for the part and the service, but they ended up only charging me for half the price of the battery AND they checked the whole engine to make sure the problem wasnt coming from somewhere else. Its such a relief to be able to take my car somewhere where I dont have a feeling Im being taken advantage of, and that I dont have to be a mechanic myself to have a conversation with them ! More

I also wanted to know if the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) had the latest software version as the car sputtered on starts at temperatures close to freezing. The advisor asked the technician to ride with me and we both took turns to drive the car. Although we hear the sound on start from a stopped position, we did not hear it on braking. So they decided to examine the car to see if there was any safety issue. There was no issue per the technician and the PCM software version was ols. So they went ahead and updated the software free of charge. Great service! More

I mentioned a competitor dealer's 20% off discount coupon. So they matched the coupon. Their before coupon price was in line with the competitor who had the coupon. I was given 2 free wiper blade inserts, a free windshield washer fluid top-up, a free car wash and a free rental for the day. Ihad also asked them to change the engine air filter and mounting screws. One of the mounting screws was not changed which I noticed at pick up at closing time. Realizing their mistake they got me the screw and asked a technician to stay past closing to install the screw. Great service!!! More

The fluid was changed, car was washed and a free brake inspection was done confirming that no work was needed on my brakes. They even adjusted my handbrake for free. More

Get a second opinion on warranty repairs! Or go elsewhere. Believe it or not, this is the short version: I brought my Honda Civic Si to Toronto Honda on a Thursday because of a squeak under the hood. I rece Believe it or not, this is the short version: I brought my Honda Civic Si to Toronto Honda on a Thursday because of a squeak under the hood. I received a phone call later that day asking if the car had been in an accident. No, I said. He asked if I’d gotten it used. Yes, I said, but the previous owner worked for Honda. The car had always been in Honda hands. I was then told that the damage to the car’s engine, the pulley, and crank at the time, could only have been caused by an accident and therefore the warranty wouldn’t cover it but the work needed to be done. Cost $1025.00 plus. I was also informed that it had to have been a pretty major accident. So, on top of the repairs costs, my car was now worth a lot less. I contacted the dealership I purchased the car from, and talked to the salesman. He was going to talk to the sales manager, who had owned the car before me, and he’d get back to me. On Friday I went back to Toronto Honda, the car wasn’t ready, the part hadn’t come in. The service advisor said he’d take pictures for me and even make a video recording, when the work was being done, so I could prove that it had been in an accident. He also recommended that I call Honda’s customer service. On the upside, I was told they had given the car a good going over and everything else, including the A/C, which I had also asked them to check, was great. He seemed very helpful. Honda customer service weren’t great, and rather than being surprised or upset at hearing that one of their manager’s would get a car fixed off the books, and then sell it as a Honda Certified vehicle, with a clean CarProof, seemed to find that almost par for the course. Which, as you can imagine, made me feel a whole lot worse. However, the previous dealership, who were also great, denied the accident ever happened and were none too pleased at the accusation. The cars previous owner, who was the sales manager at the other dealership, sent me the CarProof and assured me that the car hadn’t been in an accident, at all, ever. He agreed to contact Toronto Honda and sort it. Another service advisor at Toronto Honda took over at this point and said that the repairs would be covered. He recommended a new belt, though, that wouldn’t be covered. And they would only charge me half an hour for the labour. I didn’t understand, and still don’t, why it would be more labour to put a new belt on than putting the old belt back on, which would have been covered. Tired and fed-up, I just paid. Over $70. The old belt didn’t look badly worn but had a really strange, perfectly straight, break or cut, through two of the inside ridges. I got the car back on a Tuesday. On the next warm day I turned on the A/C and it still didn’t feel to me like it was working. I called Toronto Honda. They hadn’t checked it. It was going to cost me around $160.00 plus to get the diagnostic done. But they would check the temp for me for free. So I went back. The second service person got in the car, checked the A/C with his hand, and said it was working fine and if I needed it colder they’d need to add more Freon, which also wouldn’t be covered by warranty. I ended up taking it to another Honda dealership since, for good reason, I no longer trusted Toronto Honda. The other Honda dealership informed me that it’s almost never just the Freon as it’s a closed system. They did the full diagnostic and found that one of the relays was faulty causing the compressor to continuously run. They repaired it, on warranty, no change to me whatsoever, and then washed the car! I was never offered anything by way of compensation for the time (calling the other dealership and Honda) and stress caused the false information about my car being in an accident. Unless you count them only charging me for ½ labour, instead of an hour, for putting an new belt on, rather than the old one back on, when putting the car back together. Honda Canada offered me a $50 gift certificate at one point, but then took it back. It appears that while they are willing to accept dishonesty in their dealerships, they aren’t okay with their customers getting upset, and raising a stink, about it. They consider that to be rude. I couldn’t thank the last dealership, who repaired my a/c, enough before I left. They called me the next day to follow-up. They empathized with what I'd gone through with the whole accident/no accident thing and wanted to be sure that my experience with them was a pleasant one. I assured them that it was. If, heaven forbid, I ever have to return to Honda, it wouldn’t be to Toronto Honda. More
