Going back to Lakewood Chev Part 2 Went back to Sherwood Chevrolet for my complimentary oil change received for the poor service on my first experience. I was waiting in line when one of Lube Bay employees came out after 45 mins after waiting. Asked him how's his day was going, did not get response and he stated this place is under new management and was asked to come out and say Hello. Got the service completed and noticed that there was no reminder sticker and also the oil life was not reset (happened the first time I was there). Had to go back into the Lube Bay and ask one of the employees to complete this. He said he totally forgot and completed it. I'm blown away how welcome they made me feel. even in the show room everyone there were all smiles and responsive to my questions. this is a fantastic experience I have bought two vehicles from this dealer and I'm very happy I did. Just had a service done last week and Courtney (sp?) was very professional, keeping me updated with progress throughout the time they had my truck, addressing a minor concern that I had and actually finding something (I know right? Every other dealer service I have dealt with either couldn't find the problem or would seem to guess resulting in multiple visits and no results). Quick and Informative I had taken my new Traverse in for her first oil change. Many staff greeted me and took the time to hear my concerns. In fact, Kyle sat in my vehicle I had taken my new Traverse in for her first oil change. Many staff greeted me and took the time to hear my concerns. In fact, Kyle sat in my vehicle and demonstrated all of the features my had that I did not know how to access. He was a very patient and well informed staff member. I felt understood and my vehicle was well looked after. Even my tire PSI was addressed and equalized. I have heard too many horror stories about women getting manipulated by fast talking dealerships. This is one I would tell all of my friends to go to for help or information. More

Goodwill goes a long way Previously I had posted a review about a bad experience I had at Sherwood Park Chev when we required a complete transmission replacement on our vehicl Previously I had posted a review about a bad experience I had at Sherwood Park Chev when we required a complete transmission replacement on our vehicle shortly after warranty passed. My frustrations were with Sherwood Park Chev for what I felt was incompetent work provided by their service center and with GM Canada for the suspect quality of their product. This was a very frustrating process but I would like to commend the service department at Sherwood Chev for stepping up and being willing to work with me to come to a resolution that satisfied both parties. I am still not impressed with the GM vehicle we own but I am impressed how Wayne Focht was willing to go the extra distance to help smooth things out with a goodwill gesture by the dealership that helped cover some of the out of pocket expenses incurred. I wouldn't necessarily recommend GM products but I would recommend dealing with Sherwood Park Chev for the customer care they provided. More
