I know what I l I've been purchasing GMC vehicles since 1996... My first was a Sunfire that I purchased from an Edmonton, AB dealership; awesome car! I know what I like and I know what I like to pay! After having researched online the vehicle we wanted, we decided to give Sherwood Buick GMC a shot after having experienced Top Notch Service from the service bay (Rebecca V) in the past. We came in on a Saturday and luckily Simon Wiederkehr was working! My previous experience entailed going to the dealership and having to spend hours and hours listening to all the "new and up to date" features on EVERYTHING! This was not the case. Simon listened to what I wanted, understood that I had researched the product and went to work at getting me the best price for our new vehicle. Long story short, we walked in on Saturday to "look", and walked out purchasing a brand new vehicle thanks to Simon's great customer service. Having experienced great service in the past when we came in for service on our other vehicles, I am very satisfied that we went with Sherwood Buick GMC. I know nothing about vehicles and was a little nervous with the process. Wayne was very patient with me and explained everything I needed to know with great detail. He worked very hard to help me obtain a vehicle that I would love. Wayne was such a comedian. He helped make me feel comfortable and didnt pressure me to make a decision I wasnt sure of. To put things into perspective for potential customers, I am one of those people who just hate going onto to a car lot and dealing with salesman. Too many bad experiences that left me thinking they are full of you-know-what. In fact, the day my wife and I met Wayne it was on a Sunday and we were there specifically on that day so we didn't have to deal with any salesman. Wouldn't you know they work Sunday! My wife got out of the car while I parked our car. By the time I caught up to her, I noticed that she was already talking with someone. My back was up immediately. It turned out, Wayne was just great. No pressure. No asking a million questions about your background, etc. Just general talk that definitely put me at ease. In the end we left thinking that if we were to purchase a truck it would be from him. Wayne contacted me a few weeks later (we are from BC) to give us an idea of some vehicles that had come in in case we were interested. He followed up with a telephone call. We spoke for a time on the phone and I shared why buying a new car can be such a pain with all the hidden costs, fees, etc. He put a package together for us to consider as well as clearly outlined all the incentives that were currently available for that model as well as all additional fees that would be charged. I couldn't get this from my local GMC dealer after asking three times! It was so refreshing. It made crunching all the numbers and trying to figure out what we wanted and what we wanted to pay so much easier. In the end, my wife decided she wanted a Ford truck. I would like the Sierra so we shall see. Even though we are 9 hours away from Sherwood Park, I would have no hesitation in dealing with this dealership and with Wayne if we decided to purchase a Sierra. The drive would be worth it because of the transparency they showed. I believe that Wayne is one of those people that is more concerned that you get the right vehicle for the right price than just getting the sale. Only gave a four star because we didn't actually purchase a vehicle from the dealership (yet). More
