bad service I have gone to this dealer for excellent sales service,but encountered not so good service from the service center. The dealer first told me that i I have gone to this dealer for excellent sales service,but encountered not so good service from the service center. The dealer first told me that it would take 1.5 hrs to install block heater. 3 hours later they told me that they did not know that it would take 3 hrs. The olny conseqece of this is that they only charged me for 1 hr ,but stole 2 hrs of my time waiting. When I confronted the service manager he said Iam sorry for wait ,but we did not know that it was this complicated. I was a little upset and said can I be compensated in any way ,I waited so long, He said well I will just charge You for the 1 hr. I am wondering how could this be ,since they probably install these units all the time. Shoud nt they know how long it takes. I also wanted to note that all the service advisors were on lunch for about 45 mins with no one managing the desk. I have never seen this before. you would think that each of them would take turns on lunch. More

I called dealer and quote the installation of towing package. To make sure the towing connectors, I specially confirmed with the parts department that the electrical connector will be 7-way for a camper trailer. And the quotation was over $1500 plus tax. The guy told me that he would like to give me $100 discount because I am the long time customer. Then I made an appointment and the technician installed the stuff for me. When I picked up the car, the connector is the flat 4-pin connector for small utility trailer. I asked the adviser what happened with the 7-way connector. I was told they don't have it at all. The over-priced quotation (higher than MSRP $1381.46 from Honda.ca) tricked me that Honda will upgrade for you and you can buy a RV, hitch it right a way. But it turns out you have to pay and upgrade it somewhere else. I spent half day on the phone dealing with the manager. Finally he only agreed to removed the harness from the van with removed cost of the harness and $20 labor for the harness only. I paid a very pricey lesson (over $1500 for the rest) and just learned that this dealer service is so non-professional. Avoid this dealer next time. More
Air conditioning problems I brought my 2008 Honda Civic in because the air conditioning was not working properly. After looking at the car, the service advisor said it need to I brought my 2008 Honda Civic in because the air conditioning was not working properly. After looking at the car, the service advisor said it need to be topped up with freon. I said fine go ahead and got billed $200. After driving it for a few months, air conditioning still wasn't working properly. I brought it back (warranty now expired) and they said it needed a new compressor. Well, $750 out of my pocket. I asked why they didn't replace the compressor when it was covered under the warranty. Service advisor spoke to the manager who said the problem was not related. Appears this dealership doesn't honour Honda warranties. More
Service Above and Beyond I recently took my new HR-V into Pickering Honda's service department with a question only about my rearview camera, namely whether it was aligned cor I recently took my new HR-V into Pickering Honda's service department with a question only about my rearview camera, namely whether it was aligned correctly. My service tech, Richard Park, was unsure of the answer because the HR-V was so new, and none had been in for service yet or had presented with that question. Richard volunteered to find out but said it might take a day or so, so I suggested he take my phone number and give me a call. I didn't think I would ever hear from him again, and was pleasantly surprised when he called several days later to discuss it with me, and emailed me photos to confirm there was no problem. That is wonderful service and he represents Pickering Honda very well. I'd go back to that dealership for my service anytime. More
