First let me acknowledge how disappointed I am personally with the service you have received at Peterborough Volkswagen. I have spent the last day reviewing your file with Colin & Dean and I fully understand your frustration. If I was in your shoes I would certainly be considering my options as well. At the end of the day my staff has dropped the ball through service and follow up. While I could go into further detail about a few of the service issues I'm not sure it would serve any purpose at this time as I am not looking to make excuses. After 43 years in business we sometimes think we have the processes down pat and certainly this proved otherwise. All I can do at this point is reassure you that I have spoken to all involved . Thank you for taking the time to outline your concerns. While we have some descrepancies over the exact conversation that took place and the way in which my service manager highlighted that further damage could occur we are now happy to advise that as a goodwill gesture Peterborough Volkswagen has removed and reinstalled the orignal pump and reimbursed the client for the cost of the pump. This was an unfortunate incident however it should be noted that it would have been impossible to determine any internal damage without tearing apart the engine which at the time did not make sense. We trust that we have closed this case in a fair and equitable manner for both parties. Michael Eatson General Manager
