Harry definitely gets top marks!!!! Harivan Jaffer Abdullah is, without exaggeration, the most polite, pleasant, knowledgable car guy I have ever met! I am notorious for being a tough customer (because I am a woman, I am often neglected by salesmen who come up to my husband instead of me, no-nonsense). I am direct and always want to see the car for myself. I do not need to know the doodads that come with the car, unless I ask. As well, I like to look and do not want to be approached unless I have questions. Harivan (Harry) was so respectful of this and unwavering in his gentle manner that, after we agreed on a price over the phone, I test-drove the car, signed the documents and was done in 3 hours... never have I purchased a car this fast, ever!!! I had done all my homework previous to contacting him, as I hate to waste my and the saleman's time. Because I had no means of transportation to go to the dealership, he arranged for the courtesy shuttle to pick me up, and when it was obvious the shuttle driver would arrive back too late to drive me back home, Harry drove me home himself!!! To the other end of the city!!!! How many salesmen would do that for you????? As we spoke, I found Harry to be so sincere that it felt like a friend was selling me the car, wanting me to be happy with it and explaining via follow-up e-mails how to set up the GPS and Sirius XM radio after I had already purchased the car and brought it home!!! Such after-sales service, I have NEVER seen, and we have owned a Rabbit, Celica, Maxima, Audi, Camry, BMW, Prius, Passat and Honda!! What sold me was his love of his job (no fake excited speech pattern or enthusiasm) and absolutely no pushiness on his part (I push back and leave if confronted by an aggressive salesperson)... I cannot write a more glowing assessment of Mr. Abdullah, as he stands out, by far, above all car salemen I have ever dealt with (and I have dealt with many, many who are in the wrong line of work). I recommend Harivan to anyone who is tired of the assaulting salesmen they are confronted with as soon as they walk through the dealership doors. We were a little nervous to buy a brand new vehicle at first. It's been a while we were thinking about buying a new vehicle, but with a new baby at home, we havent got the chance to spend time on us. Tarra Murphy was our sales representative and she ATTENTIVELY listen to what exactly we were looking for. She hasn't been at Pathway Hyundai for long BUT I can truly say she sold us on our new 2017 white Hyundai Tucson AWD and even got my panoramic roof :). Sometime, you go to a dealership and you feel like the sales rep are pushy, but THERE at Pathway Hyundai, you dont feel like that and I extremely appreciate the fact that Tarra was patient with us and RESPECTED our budget. Not only was the service department able to take my vehicle in at the last minute but they took the time and patience to listen to me explain the situation with my vehicle, I also appreciated the friendliness of the staff as the service advisor that sits in front of Gareth was willing to help out also with any of my concerns (I believe her name was Karen). I even had a follow-up call by the service technician to confirm the details of the issue with my vehicle. The conversation that Chris Sherlock and myself had helped navigate through and solve the issue with my vehicle in a reasonable and timely manner. Gareth called me when my vehicle was completed and let me know I can come and get it at any time and that he was going to take care of all my extended warranty paperwork for me which is always a bonus. I also appreciated Gareth's team spirit for the Ottawa Sens by wearing a jersey for their playoff game tonight. GO SENS GO! More
