Northstar Ford Calgary - Service Centre

The last time I step foot in this dealership I would give it a zero rating if I could. Have gone to this dealership a few times for oil changes, tire purchases, suspension issues (covered under w I would give it a zero rating if I could. Which all went reasonably okay, but never felt like honest work was being done, and that they were trying to pry every penny I had (upselling, etc). Nonetheless, for some reason I kept going back for the small repairs/services. Brakes on my vehicle were squealing for a week or two, so I took it into ford for a quote. Once there, was notified that there was a $150 diagnosis fee. I needed the work done and took the day off work already, so had to go ahead with it. Two hours later, received a call with a $1700+ quote. Right away said no thanks, and I would pick up my vehicle. After doing some research, I took it to a reputable, independent shop. They test drove it, inspected the brakes, and in the end, deglazed the front pads. Total cost of $103. Drove home and the brakes felt great, and no squealing noises. The Ford diagnosis fee ($155) cost more than the repair itself. Would never recommend this dealership to anyone, and will never step foot in it again. I rarely write reviews for businesses or open survey emails, but I had to for this one. More

Great service today - Fiona was a star Brought my car in for a routine service - was unaware that there was a service recall for the transmission ( which would explain the shuddering when I Brought my car in for a routine service - was unaware that there was a service recall for the transmission ( which would explain the shuddering when I would shift gears for the past 2 years - nothing major, just something I thought was Ford related). Anyhow, the service advisor Fiona was super pleasant, and because it was so slow, they had time to fix the slow leak in my tire at a very reasonable rate 39.99 , do the service, do the recall work, all in the time it took for me to eat breakfast at Dennys - ( however Dennys was slow... (90 minutes. ) This experience was good - it hasnt always been the case here, however, this time - it was good so I have to give it 4 stars. More

Thorough job. Damian went above and beyond, quickly suggesting that he come along for a ride along to check out my concern.
