Hello Sandy – it took us a while to sort this out and the result is there seemed to be a series of events that caused the appointment mix-up. Your scheduled 7:30am appointment was under your name, but when the first Advisor, Kan, was looking for your car to book in, there was no key or contact information for it. In the meantime another Advisor, Ray, was given your key and told it was a drop off. I believe it was left in the overnight drop box, also with no information attached. Our process is that scheduled appointments are first and drop offs follow. When the car was finally located and the VIN# checked, it wasn’t your name that appeared in the system, but that of the previous owner. The same thing happened to the first Advisor; your name didn’t match the car, only the appointment. The previous owner is a longstanding service customer of ours and we called him to see if he’d dropped off the vehicle. At this point the Service Coordinators got involved and we finally were able to conclude that your car was still in the previous owner’s name. We recommend you check with the dealership or person you purchased it from and ensure the vehicle registration is in your name so this doesn’t happen to you again. As for your comment about a Benz for an Audi, that’s your choice to make. We appreciate your feedback on our dealership based on your experience.

I’ve owned this car for over 2 years and it is registered in MY name! It’s YOUR system that isn’t updated! Also when I booked my service appointment that asked me model and colour. Again your blaming the customer. Take responsibility Mercedes’ Oakville!!!!

Because this would have been your first service visit to our dealership, it would have been our responsibility to update the vehicle's ownership details once we had ownership verification. We only have authority to change our system records, not those of Mercedes-Benz Canada, Mercedes-Benz Financial Services, Service Ontario or any other company that you would have been in touch with to purchase your vehicle. You just don't get it Mercedes Oakville! Please don't respond like I'm a child! I've been driving for over 40 years. We can go back and forth all day but the problem still exist with your dealership, and as i have been reading from the reviews i am not the only disgruntled customer, so until you take onus I will call you out. You terrified me when you called me 4hrs after i dropped my car off to tell me you couldn't find it!! BTW my summer is fabulous.

Hello Njoud – we reviewed your comments and can confirm we repaired a stone chip on the right side of the windshield in January 2018. Three years on, while your vehicle was going through a lease return inspection, it has been determined a crack has formed on the windshield and must be replaced. As noted in Mercedes-Benz Financial Services return policy: ‘this inspection is to help you avoid any surprises when you return the vehicle and to give you plenty of time to make any required repairs, if needed’. The dealership does not set the repair charges, collect the charges, nor do we decide what repairs are needed; this is done by a third party on behalf of MBFS and, as a result, any and all repair charges are made directly to MBFS. We have attempted to communicate to you several times that our only directive is to collect the vehicle on behalf of MBFS, and return it to them on your behalf. We’ve spoken to MBFS and they have confirmed the windshield repair is not our responsibility. If you disagree with the MBFS decision, you can contact Mercedes-Benz Canada directly. Hello Mr. Edwards – it is true, we will not do any repair without a customer’s approval or if a recommended repair is declined. The only approval you’ve given us was for a diagnostic test, as your battery had been replaced many times in a short period prior to your first visit with us in January 2020. At the time we recommended you replace the after-market battery, that was in your car, with a Genuine Mercedes-Benz unit, to be followed by an in-depth diagnosis on the root cause for the many batteries failing prior. We also informed you of a recall that we did not have parts available for but it was to be completed at a later date. Recalls come with no cost to the customer and which you may have already completed at another location. To our knowledge, three other dealerships in the GTA have done service on your 2009 vehicle. We have informed Mercedes-Benz Canada of your concerns in the event you wish to reach out to them directly.

It is no surprise that Mercedes Benz Oakville have responded with more outright bold faced lies. Lies that even contradict their own documentation. Hopefully this will provide further evidence as we head to court.
