Service Dept. is underequipped to handle volume.. I love my Toyota 4-runner. It's the third one I've owned & I'll likely buy another, however it won't be from Kelowna Toyota. I have no problem with the sales department or the vehicle - my problem is the lengthy wait times to get into their service department even for a minor safety adjustment (less than 1 hour's work). I needed to get my 4 runner in this week for a quick inspection (likely wheel alignment or balancing related) because I have a long road trip planned next week. I was told it would take about 2 weeks before they could even take a look at it & even then I'd have to have it there at 7:30am and leave it all day. This has happened a number of times before over the past 10-12 years. In my opinion their service department is ill-equipped to handle the number of Toyota vehicles on the road in the area (likely due to undersized shop in facility). I believe Toyota Canada should look for a new dealer who will invest in a proper facility to be able to handle the service / maintenance issues of their customers or they will continue to lose market share to their competitors who are generally able to respond with 24 - 72 hour service appointment availability. After being put off by Kelowna Toyota's service dept. this morning (Monday), I called one of their competitors who has kindly fit me in Wednesday morning (48 hour service) to handle my problem. I believe even a great product isn't so great when the service "sucks". More

Ciana Fitzpatrick and Andrew the sales manager went above and beyond to see that I got the vehicle I wanted. The entire staff made sure that we and our two dogs we were traveling with were taken care of. I would definitely recommend this dealership. More

Three times a charm I had purchased a new prius from toyota kelowna. I called to book an appointment for our 4runner that i was noticing wasnt braking properly. Upon in I had purchased a new prius from toyota kelowna. I called to book an appointment for our 4runner that i was noticing wasnt braking properly. Upon inspection it was noticed that the vehicles rotors were warped so they were replaced. I asked as to why the rotors would have warped and was told it was because of my driving habits... that i was braking too hard too fast and towing alot of weight. Nothing of this sort was happening but i was made to feel it was my fault. I received the vehicle from service and took it home i noticed it was still braking incorrectly. I called service again shortly after and brought the vehicle back to be looked over again with nothing being observed as unusual. Again The vehicle was returned with everything stated as being normal. As i proceeded to drive the vehicle more i suspected something just didnt feel correct with the braking system. So i called to book an appointment again. This time the service person asked me, if the vehicle had been in twice already that maybe nothing was wrong the the brakes at all? Upon hearing the way i was being treated i decided to call the dealership where the 4runner was purchased new and ask if they could help. They said that they would try. So i proceeded to drive the vehicle 4hrs to the dealership that it was purchased at. The service manager drove the vehicle and said there was nothing wrong with the braking system. Long story shortened up a bit.. something very major was wrong .. so wrong the brakes were always grabbing and throwing the vehicle stability control out and the vehicle would skid sideways when the brakes were applied hard. So wrong that vehicle would brake itself in turns and skid into oncoming traffic on a few occasions. The service staff at kelowna toyota completely failed to diagnose a life threatening problem to anyone in or around the vehicle. This being the case i would highly suggest that u do not bring your vehicle to kelowna toyota for service. The rotors and pads that were replaced by toyota kelowna without a good reason now had one. And it had everything to do with a faulty abs computer that went undiagnosed not only by kelowna toyota but by sun country toyota in kamloops as well. So... there was no compensation for the rotors and pads that failed prematurely. No compensation for all the extra fuel the vehicle used while the abs computer was applying pressure all the time. No apologies either for endangering my family. So my review of kelowna toyota has to be nothing less than a complete failure in competence. The 4runner was jeopardizing the lives of anyone around or inside the vehicle. Kelowna toyota found nothing wrong with it and tried to pin the blame on myself ... so did sun country too actually.. so shame on u kelowna toyota , sun country toyota. Shame on toyota canada for reviewing this whole scenario and deeming that no compensation be awarded. To complete this review the minimum amount of stars is 1 .. but 0 is a better option for the way i was treated and how the safety of the 4runner was addressed. Shame shame shame Do not take your in for service at kelowna toyota is all i can say to be polite. Shame More
