My experience with Jim Pattison Toyota Northshore has been a bit of a journey. What started out as a great experience unfortunately became less positive for a period of time, but I am very happy to say t been a bit of a journey. What started out as a great experience unfortunately became less positive for a period of time, but I am very happy to say that it ultimately ended spectacularly. The difference was Jeremy Schaab, the new General Manager. Jeremy is an amazing and, in my view, much needed addition to the dealership. He took the time to listen, understand what had happened and, most importantly, made me feel like a valued Toyota customer. I had purchased a nearly new Prius with only a few kilometres on it elsewhere, something another employee had made a point of noting and making me feel less than welcome for not buying it there (I had tried). Jeremy took the exact opposite approach. He made it very clear that regardless of where I purchased my Prius, I was welcome at Jim Pattison Toyota Northshore and that they would be happy to have my business and look after my vehicle going forward. That may sound like a small thing, but customer service is often about how you make someone feel, particularly when something has not gone quite right. Jeremy completely turned my experience around. It says a great deal about a leader when they are prepared to step in, listen and personally make sure a customer leaves feeling differently than when they arrived. Jeremy did exactly that. I am genuinely impressed with how everything was ultimately handled and feel very comfortable bringing my Prius to Jim Pattison Toyota Northshore for service going forward. A spectacular ending to an experience that could very easily have gone the other way. Thank you, Jeremy. More
Sadly despite having an amazing experience with Bridger, the salesperson, regarding the lease of a new Rav 4 the rest of the experience has been horrible. Literally the worst in my 28 years of owning cars. the salesperson, regarding the lease of a new Rav 4 the rest of the experience has been horrible. Literally the worst in my 28 years of owning cars. To start, the finance person attempted to defraud us by hiding almost 5K of add-ons into the lease even after we formally declined them. It wasn't until we got home were we able to determine what he had done. The GM acknowledged this had happened and rewrote our contract. I have since heard from others that this is a common tactic by the finance person at this dealership. Since then the servicing has been horrible. We have booked twice only to arrive and be told our booking is not in their system - despite having confirmation from them. During our last service they forgot to change our winter tires over. After speaking to the head of the service department we were told we'd have our car in immediately. Never to hear from him again. Personally, I do not recommend you shop here. If you do. Do NOT sign your lease or contract until you have gone through it very closely. Ensure they do not pressure you to sign quickly. Ask them to give you space and read every dollar amount. Our fraud was hidden on one page under the sports rack cost. More
My husband and I recently purchased a car from Bridger at this dealership. He was very professional and kind, and took the time to find out about our lifestyle needs. It had to be a thoughtful decision to mo this dealership. He was very professional and kind, and took the time to find out about our lifestyle needs. It had to be a thoughtful decision to move my husband, as a long time "big truck" person, into a Highlander Platinum SUV which we are extremely happy with for our future travel needs. We also received a good trade in value for our existing truck. We had a stress free experience, and appreciated being treated respectfully as a potential long term business client, not just a transactional sale. More
The salesperson was very rude; he was always with somebody over the phone while he was dealing with me. The manager was not honest, when I asked for discount he said if you buy the insurance for the somebody over the phone while he was dealing with me. The manager was not honest, when I asked for discount he said if you buy the insurance for the rim he will consider the discount. I bought the car and all he gave me for discount was a free oil change. And one day I went there and the salesperson I was dealing with was sick on that day and when I asked for somebody else to help me, surprisingly they said I need to wait for the same person. what a bunch of... Unbelievably incompetent from start to finish. I phoned multiple times to get a final handover appointment time and the accurate price for the used Prius - no one returned my call. When I came in, I phoned multiple times to get a final handover appointment time and the accurate price for the used Prius - no one returned my call. When I came in, they rejected my certified cheque because it didn't have quite the correct JP address (AutoGroup vs.Toyota...) They had also, unbeknownst to me, sold me multiple costly insurance policies I didn't need or want. Then I could not take the car home because the cheque wasn't addressed properly. The next morning, they met me at the wrong bank for the handover. Three weeks later, I received an email informing me of my handover date, plus the final price - yes, three weeks earlier. Unbelievable stupidity. Then the sales guy wanted me to make an appointment to pick up the manual which had not been available earlier. When the manager contacted me to see how my experience had been-I told him! He immediately sent the sales kid to my house with the manual. Manager is decent, but staff is unbelievably incompetent. Service Dept. also didn't know how to change the time on the dashboard when I went in for the complementary servicing. Never again! More
Lack of honesty and integrity. Selling a CERTIFIED vehicle but the required maintenance was NOT done. Serviced department said work could have been done by others. If not done Selling a CERTIFIED vehicle but the required maintenance was NOT done. Serviced department said work could have been done by others. If not done Its NOT TOYOTA CERTIFIED!!! Vehicle was scratched on drivers side and passenger rear fender down to the black plastic. Nothing disclosed in photos or description. I drove 500 miles, only to find out I was being screwed. And finally, the vehicle price was dropped prior to my 1000.00 deposit. And when I arrived the price drop was never mentioned even though I have photos as proof. The bill of sale was the original price. The salesman NEVER mentioned the price had dropped by 1300.00 I drove home. No deal. Absolutely disgusted with JP Toyota North Shore. More
Mostly pleasant experience, I did purchase, but I almost walked away when the “manager” offered me a ridiculous amount for my trade in! He said I needed a brake job, as the brake light was lit on the dash… walked away when the “manager” offered me a ridiculous amount for my trade in! He said I needed a brake job, as the brake light was lit on the dash… well, the parking brake was on and that illuminates the brake light on the instrument cluster. This guy should not be a manager of any dealership! Other than his ignorance, I was happy with the sale. More
I called well in advance and informed the sales person (Fallah) what brands, models, and price range we were looking for on a used vehicle. He wouldn't give me any details on the phone, just insisted we c (Fallah) what brands, models, and price range we were looking for on a used vehicle. He wouldn't give me any details on the phone, just insisted we come in. As soon as we arrived it was obvious that all he cared about was getting us into a brand new vehicle so he can get his commission. He wouldn't even waste his time showing us the used vehicles on the lot. Theyre extremely unhelpful More
I went in today hoping to do a lot of research and test driving a Toyota Tacoma or Tundra, the salesman let me sit in one, but not drive it because it was low on gas. He didn’t even offer walk me out or sh driving a Toyota Tacoma or Tundra, the salesman let me sit in one, but not drive it because it was low on gas. He didn’t even offer walk me out or shake my hand. I don’t know it’s because I am a short Asian woman, but I am definitely not buying a truck from them. I am going to another dealership. Wow. I felt like I was treated like dirt today. I was so excited to buy a Tacoma or Tundra, but now I feel salty in my mouth. My friend told me how she loves her white Tacoma and I was excited to buy a black one to match hers, but not that much anymore. I also repeatedly asked the salesman to print out the information he was showing while comparing models and he said he couldn’t print anything and told me to go home and look on the website. It seems so rude and dismissive to an eager and excited customer. I would never go back. More
