Incompetent and expensive My check engine light was on steady and I made an appointment with Jenner as I have taken many different vehicles to them in the past and have never h My check engine light was on steady and I made an appointment with Jenner as I have taken many different vehicles to them in the past and have never had a problem. Wow have times changed!!!! A part was ordered for my vehicle and I believed the job to be completed and the problem resolved, after paying a bill of over $400.00 was on my way. One day later the check engine light came back on and was on solid again. Upon calling Jenner and letting them know I needed to bring the car back in I received nothing but a complete run around, telling me they couldn't fit me in until a week and a half later and the fact that I just picked the car up from Jenner a day ago for the same problem was irrelevant. After speaking with the Service Manager my car was received the next day. After being told it may be the fuel cap, something they DIDN'T check the first time I had the car in, I let them know that the fuel cap was replaced roughly a month ago as the original cap seemed to be worn out and not sealing properly. Needless to say after being told, via text, that it would cost $17.00 for a new cap they proceeded to do further testing based upon my info regarding the cap being replaced rather than simply checking the cap to verify their apparent hunch. They decided in the end that it was the gas cap after all, replaced it and then charged me $189.74. When I questioned the price and spoke to the Service Manager about the situation he completely justified what had happened, laughed over the fact that I had changed the gas cap to begin with and was anything but helpful. After lost wages due to having to leave work early, repeatedly, in order to retrieve my car before they closed at 5:00; having to pay for a rental vehicle for three days and making use of a family members car as well, due to repeated problems with my vehicle, and the ridiculous and incompetent manner in which my vehicle was assessed and NOT fixed, I am now in the hole for $807.99. AVOID Jenner and save yourself a ton of inconvenience, money and stress. Go to a garage that actually knows what they are doing! Learn from my mistake and AVOID Jenner. More
