They will call you saying someone in Victoria is looking for a vehicle like the one you own and that they will offer you above market value. All you need to do is come in for 15 - 20 minutes while the sales manager appraises it. No purchase necessary as they just want to buy your vehicle. You tell them no so they call a few more times and even text you. Which gets you thinking well what the heck. Doesn't hurt to go in to see what they'll offer you. Oh no. once you get there, the sales mgr sends you off with a salesman to see if there is anything you might want to trade your vehicle in for. Ok fine, what the heck. Well then the salesman writes up the vehicle info and hands it off to the sales manager who comes back with a trade in offer and totally low xxxxx you. And then when you ask well how much are you going to offer me if I don't buy a vehicle (which I told them I didn't want one) the sales mgr then laughs and says if you don't buy a vehicle I will offer you a lot less. They never had anyone else looking to buy my type of vehicle. It was all lies to get me in and try and get me to trade up. Jokes on you Dodge. You've now lost a customer and I will be sure to tell everyone how you run your business. Deceit and Lies More
I used to have a vehicle I could drive! I Brought a 2004 Dodge Ram 2500 truck in for an airbag light reset 12/31/2015. I parked the truck in front of the service bays. Service writer moved v I Brought a 2004 Dodge Ram 2500 truck in for an airbag light reset 12/31/2015. I parked the truck in front of the service bays. Service writer moved vehicle closer to office and commented that it had a lot of power. He then advised me that some brake lights were not working. I informed him that I had the part coming for it and all I wanted was the airbag light reset and check the battery as it was not holding a charge. He advised me that they would take care of the airbag light for me and we went inside to fill in the paperwork (Invoice 374870). I advise Phillip that I would need a ride home (I was expecting it to be less than 1 hour). I waited for While and the driver came, picked up someone else and left me there. I asked about 1/2 hour later how long he was going to be and was told that they forgot me. While I was waiting, I saw the truck leave the lot. I went in to pick up the truck and I was informed that a part was needed for the airbag light and the battery needed to be replaced...Oh, and you need an $800 repair on your steering as it is unsafe to drive. I refused the repair, paid the bill and left and I came back later to pick up the vehicle. WOW...Very scary drive home and very little steering control! I emailed the service manager (Phillip) and expressed my dismay, the problem did not need a test drive so why did the take take the truck out? What happened on the test drive? Did he hit a Curb? Why did the service manager mention that a light was burnt out but he did not mention anything about the dangerous steering situation? Maybe because there was no steering problem? I called back and spoke to the service mgr and expressed my concern that I bought in a working truck and I expect a working truck back. He (Phillip) asked me to bring the truck back so they could put the truck up on a hoist and the tech could show me the problem. I called Dave (The GM) and explained the situation. I told Dave that I was not interested in wasting my time while the tech and service manager justify their position, I just wanted a working truck back. Dave wanted me to bring the truck in so we could at least know what was wrong with the truck and we would take it from there. I did so but everyone was in a meeting so I was advised to leave rather than wait. I was called by Phillip and chastised for just dropping off the truck and told I need to come down so I did. After waiting a while...the tech came out (not Phillip or Dave) searched around for the truck and then searched for the keys and we talked about the truck. He wanted more info as he said he was only getting pieces of information and he wanted to get the whole story. He said the truck had the steering problem when he got it and he noticed it while driving it. I insisted I dropped off a working truck (I can produce witnesses) and I wanted a working truck back. Joe(The tech) asked me to come in and talk to Phillip, I did. Phillip advised me that the tech noticed the problem during the test drive then corrected himself and said he did not test drive the vehicle, he only drove it into the Service bay. I reiterated my stance to Phillip and he advised me I was being totally unreasonable. I suggested we needed to get Dave (The GM) involved and Phillip advised me that he had discussed it already and Dave said that Phillip was his Service Manager and Dave would back his decision 100%. I was not happy, but I took my keys, and I will go back later to pick up the truck. I want it noted that I have recently replaced many steering components (3 months ago) and the intermediate steering shaft was inspected and I was advised by another tech at another company that it was in good shape and it did not need to be replaced. This is the part that mysteriously broke. More
Bullied into a new van My wife went in to consider trading her Dodge Journey on a caravan , mostly for lower payments . After they told her they will give her 3.9% financing My wife went in to consider trading her Dodge Journey on a caravan , mostly for lower payments . After they told her they will give her 3.9% financing and cheaper payments , we were interested but not 100% . They called us in after they let us use the van for a few days , wanted a co signer for my wife, 7% interest and more for a payment . We said we weren't interested. That we will stick with the journey. They said to come back tomorrow and they will have it avail for us to pick up. Wife comes in during the day and they try to bully her into signing , saying the " it's a good deal" and " your husband will like it". She said no 5 ( five ) times and still wouldn't give back her journey. I called in advance to say we were an our way to pick it up and I'm still sitting here 3 hours later ...... Worst dealer experience ever. I'm not a dodge guy , not from my experience from either dealer in Vic . Go to Duncan or Nanaimo for better service .... I mean it can't get worse.. More
WORST NEW SALES EXPERIENCE! Please avoid! We went in to this dealership to buy a jeep. We intended to pay cash, but did not want to tied down in a deal until we had time to research exactly w We went in to this dealership to buy a jeep. We intended to pay cash, but did not want to tied down in a deal until we had time to research exactly what we wanted. The young salesman knowing we were only looking, involved the sale manager - Jeff. We felt pushed in things, and sat there for over two hours while they solicited for sale. I wanted to leave, my husband agreed to leave a deposit so we could get out of there and do some research, we were told it was to hold it over the weekend while we decide. Then they insisted we apply for finance, which we did not want, but they said it was good to know your credit rating. Great another 45 mins. The sale was contingent on us getting finance, which we said we did not want. Then they wanted us to bring in our truck as a trade in, which again we did not want since they were only going to offer us 1/6 of what we paid for it and 1/3 of what we could sell it for privately. So a couple of days go by, its Christmas, and we were going away. They called all weekend to find out when we were bringing the truck in to be appraised, we said NO, we don't want to trade it in again just get the paperwork done. They insisted the finance was dependent on the trade in so they could determine the loan amount, which we did not ask for or want. By that time we saw the jeep on their website for below the already reduced sticker price we were given on paper. I know it was the same jeep because of the colour and model, its was the only one on the lot like it. I called and spoke with the finance lady, and without asking my name, mistook me for someone else and proceeded to give me personal information about someone else, until I told her stop, that is not me. When I told her about the web price, she said that was nothing to do with her. Great, transfer me to the sale person, but I cannot get a hold of anyone, a few days later when I did get a hold of a salesperson, it was no longer on their website - and that may be because it was considered sold by now, but I didn't appreciate the run around. We drove by the dealership several times and never once was a hold or sold sign placed on the jeep, so anyone could have been driving it. We also found out this model did NOT have the options from the factory we told it did have. So we wanted to cancel the deal. We called the sale guy and he said no problem about the deposit talk to finance, they look after that, finance said talk to sales. This went on for 3 months of telephone tag. The salesman quit and a new guy continued to call us about buying another vehicle. By this time, we were fed up with the run around, its not professional treatment by any standards in my opinion. Furthermore, we never got to test drive anything more than one vehicle, so no comparisons, it was straight to the office talk numbers. In my opinion it felt like the worst experience I have ever had in a car dealership. I felt they pressured the sale and grossly misrepresented information on the vehicle, which we stipulated exactly what we wanted at the time. They kept the money, and as a result they lost two sales from my husband and alone as well as the relationship for potential long term customer. My family and friends know the situation and have decided to shopped elsewhere as did we, word of mouth goes a long way. More
