Very disappointing experience from start to finish at Kia West in Coquitlam. Our salesperson was Enes and while the initial test drive and sale process was fine, everything afterward was poorly handled. We purchased a demo model (Kia Niro PHEV) at the end of the month. The dealership was busy and the paperwork process took longer than expected. We had our two young kids with us, so only one of us could stay after the test drive to finalize the sale. They sent us home with a loaner car so they could detail the vehicle, and we were asked to come back the next day to meet with the finance team and insure the car. My husband originally booked an 8:00 PM appointment, but the dealership pushed him to come earlier at 6:30 PM. When he arrived, the finance person wasn’t actually available at that time, and he ended up waiting over 2 hours just to sign paperwork and take the car home. The condition of the vehicle was subpar. The detailing was clearly rushed—there were still dirt spots on the seats and seatbelts, smudges on the visor mirror, and even garbage left in a back cupholder. On top of that, there were documents left in the glove compartment from previous users (since it had been used as a loaner), containing sensitive personal information like addresses and credit card details. About a week later, we received a call from the dealership saying they thought we had taken the wrong car. It turns out they had insured the wrong vehicle entirely, meaning we had been driving an uninsured car—with our kids—for a full week. The only reason they found out was probably because they sold the other car and was unable to insure it because it was under our name. They asked us to come back to fix the issue and refused to discuss any compensation beforehand. My husband had to spend several more hours at the dealership redoing paperwork and getting the correct vehicle insured. In the end, they offered one year of free service for putting our family's safety at risk. The worst part is that we have to return to this dealership for the service. We would not recommend this dealership; go to another Kia if you can. More
I had a terrible experience with the Kia West Service Department. I brought my car in for a routine oil change and was charged $52 to replace a taillight bulb that costs about $2. That alone feels like a Department. I brought my car in for a routine oil change and was charged $52 to replace a taillight bulb that costs about $2. That alone feels like a blatant rip-off. On top of that, the service counter staff seems to constantly change, which says a lot about how this department is run. The service is consistently poor, and they push unnecessary work and upsell jobs that aren’t needed. Overall, this service department is untrustworthy and overpriced. I would never recommend Kia West for vehicle servicing. More

As a follow up to my previous review, dated April 30 2025. Feel free to read of my past deplorable experience with Go Kia West. A year plus since my car problems started with my Kia soul burning oil. In June - October 2024, I had my vehicle in for service 3 times. It cost a few thousand to have superficial fixes. None of which addressed the problem. For the next year, after being promised a follow up call to fix a recall on seat heaters that kia installed bad parts. I was ignored by management with zero effort on Kia's part to fix their mistake on the recall or further address my engine issues. 3 visit to speak with management, 1 message to speak to the Vice President, a complaint here on rate my dealer (with a meaningless PR response). I finally called Kia Canada, to complain. A year in to finally get a manager to contact me. With yet another failed promise to book an appointment in October 2025. Now in November 2025, my engine is dead. Also now they can finally tell me what was wrong with the engine from a year ago. Not enough oxygen getting in, so it burned oil. They want to replace my engine at $7000, and the fuel injectors ($110 each × 6) for another $1000. Somehow a key part of the engine is not included in a engine replacement. Fail "Go Kia West". Having talked to a trusted mechanic that lives out of town for me to have had a proper fix. I was explained that something so simple as fixing fuel injectors should have been caught by an apprentice, let alone a red seal mechanic. Be very careful with Go Kia West services. Do not trust them to fix your car proper. If you are in the unfortunate position to be in their shop, do not leave without a copy of whatever they quote you. More
