As a courtesy, I called Downtown Subaru today and tried to set up an appointment to view and test-drive a pre-owned Subaru Outback they had on your lot with my wife. We had done our homework, and we are fo to set up an appointment to view and test-drive a pre-owned Subaru Outback they had on your lot with my wife. We had done our homework, and we are focussing only on Subaru cars. The sale rep said they do not set such appointments, unless we were committed to buying that particular car. The obvious logic that we could not say whether we were interested until we had seen and driven the car seemed to escape him. Instead, he responded flippantly by saying that we would just drive that car and then go an buy from someone else. Yes, that may be true, and maybe we're mistaken, but isn't Downtown Subaru in the "car sales" business, so how do you expect anyone to commit to anything without first trying a car? The fact that they "couldn't spare anyone off the sales floor" for such a frivolous activity as assessing a $30,000 purchase before making it, and the offer that we "could come down and sit" in the car if we liked was both insulting and pointless. As I said above, my wife and I are committing our energies to finding a Subaru, likely an Outback, but then we don't know for sure since Downtown Subaru wouldn't let us drive one. What we do know is that our $30,000 and the Subaru product we purchase, will under NO circumstances, be from Downtown Subaru. More

Bought a brand new forester and was bombarded with extra expenses. Every return for service was terrible. Went for an oil change and they changed the whipper blades. Told that we needed new brake pads after expenses. Every return for service was terrible. Went for an oil change and they changed the whipper blades. Told that we needed new brake pads after just 1 year so went straight to a brake specialist who said we had 80,000 left on the brakes. Took it in because the sunroof would not open, which was covered under the warranty but told that it might take some time to get the part in. After 3 months the part came in (the same week the warranty expired) and was told that it would be $700. We had to argue with basically everyone in the dealership to get it recognized as warranty work. I would never give them any business. More
