We brought vehicle in for evaluation due to coolant odor and loss of fluid. We were informed that we had a cracked block and was going to be $2700 labor only, plus parts to resolve. Another mechanic discovered that the thermostat was blocked leading to overheating (he could find no evidence of cracked block). We removed thermostat and replaced fluids and has been running perfect since. If we had not sought second opinion you would have charged us $4000+ for un-needed repairs!

I don’t think your Sr. representative – Danny Lim was striving for 100% satisfaction on that day. From the start of the appointment to having Arron tell me that he was wrongly assigned to my file as he was only a Jr. representative and could not handle service calls that involved diagnostics but suggested to change my service appointment to the B/9 service which would encompass oil change; tire change and diagnostic, which I later found out was not correct; – to then having my file assigned to Danny Lim whose attitude was less then ‘service oriented’, and then between them their miscommunications. The main focus for Danny seemed to be as series of ‘that is not part of the package’ or ‘how much further would you like us to pursue to find this issue’ or my favorite one in our conversation when I accidently misquoted the name of the service package as ‘B service’, Danny condescendingly corrected me to say ‘..we do not have a B service…’. Danny did not once apologize for the miscommunication that happened between he & Arron nor for his inability to provide a resemblance of decent customer service. However, I did receive an apology from Arron which I accepted. I came out of this 5+ hour appointment with no satisfaction, an invoice for $400, and after a short drive my car was still experiencing the shuddering/possibly stalling and felt it unsafe to drive. It confounds me that a Honda Service team could not diagnose the issue with a car made by Honda themselves after having my car in their possession for 5+ hours. It took my family friend 15 minutes to listen to my issue and ½ hour to look under the hood of the car to provide me with reasons why I was having the car issue – ignition coils. I will be ordering the parts myself and have my family friend install the parts. I thought I was so lucky to have the convenience of a Honda Service location right across the street from where I live, but after this experience I have very little confidence in your service department. I am not sure after this experience what you can say or do or say to account for this diplorabable experience, but if you want to please respond as I am open to listen.
