After two weeks so many problems with the vehicle I originally wrote a good review when I first bought the vehicle back in April, as the link to fill out the survey is given to you immediately after p I originally wrote a good review when I first bought the vehicle back in April, as the link to fill out the survey is given to you immediately after purchase.. Two weeks later the ABS/Traction light came on. It happened first turning right from a stop sign. Stayed on all the way to work. When I came out of work, started the vehicle again, the light was out. Then it would come on more frequently, with a loud noise sometimes when turning from a stop. Then the brakes would have to be pushed down harder and deeper to stop. Contacted the dealership by email from their website to make sure everything was in writing. No reply. Then the oil change light came on just after that saying to change soon. I wondered why this would be happening now, if it was supposed to have been serviced. I asked Ahmed when I test drove the vehicle, and we were going through the different programs, why the oil said 21%. He said he would ask the service department about that, as it was probably just not set back to zero. Never heard back. Had a couple of instances when the key fob would not unlock the doors without several tries. Now it won't open the sliding back door with the key fob. Sometimes the sliding door won't even open from the inside. Was driving down the road and all of a sudden the horn started honking and would not stop until I pulled over and shut the vehicle off and took the key out. I went and got an oil change and tires rotated. This is when they checked my transmission fluid and showed it to me and they said there is no way this vehicle has had the transmission fluid flushed in years. I told them that they told me it had been serviced, and even showed me the records from the previous owner. They instructed me to contact the dealership. This was just before the May long weekend, when I was driving up to Port Hardy the next day for a visit. On the way back to Courtenay, as I passed by Campbell River on the highway, all of a sudden the four-way flashers came on for no reason. Also, the cruise control now only works occasionally. It is like there is something wrong with all the electrical. If Mazda did an inspection, either they lied to me about their findings or they didn't do an inspection. Obviously, there is something wrong with the brakes, which should have been noticed upon an inspection. When I brought this to the owners attention, all I got was an offer to get another used vehicle, but in the print you still have to pay for all repairs to this one now. Why on earth would anybody do that? It was suggested this is normal when purchasing a vehicle under $3,000. First of all, this should never be normal, as you should work with integrity. Secondly, I spent $3,900, which is closer to $4,000 than less than $3,000. So I was now being insulted that I didn't spend enough. Four thousand dollars was all I had in cash at the time. It is insulting to be offered lower quality service because you are at a lower income level. I went to a dealership in hopes that at least for a while I could have peace of mind that the vehicle would be in good running order. I did not expect problems of this magnitude to start only two weeks after my purchase. I was also told that I could try to sell it privately. But there lies another problem, because I have integrity and would never dream of selling something that I know has problems, and if I'm going to fix it all then there is no use selling it. I do not call this good customer service. Four thousand dollars is still a lot of money to most people and not something that can be thrown away. So my original good recommendation is now changed to poor. I will not be recommending this dealership and will continue to tell people at work about my experience. More

I dealt with Chantelle via email while looking for an SUV and she was terrific. I drove from Shawnigan Lake to test drive some vehicles on my day off. Chantelle was not working that day so Barry assisted me. He was very patient and went above and beyond to help me choose an SUV that would suit my needs. Late in the afternoon Chantelle popped into the dealership to say hi even though it was her day off. Chad assisted me with paper work and financing and got me an awesome interest rate better than my own bank. More

She also provided me with an opportunity to test drive and experience the use of the technology. It helped me focus on buying a vehicle that suited my level of comfort with the current variations each brand offered. I am rather challenged when dealing with a lot of technical "stuff" and felt that the CX-5 had a lot of features that I would not use so I opted to buy a vehicle in which I felt more confident managing the tech aspects.
