Not a great experience overall I found the car I wanted on the dealership’s website and made a deal with the salesman over the phone. He was fine to deal with. When I picked up the vehicle he took me for a test drive to show me the features and he tolerated my terrible city driving. I also dealt with the finance guy and it was an awful experience. First he sent me a bill of sale and told me to sign it and send it back. I noticed he had assumed I was financing the whole amount over a 5 year period and had payments calculated already. I called him to discuss it. He started by pushing warranty on me. I declined but he kept pushing. He told me horror stories of all the things that could go wrong with the vehicle, so I asked him why I should buy the vehicle to begin with if it wasn’t reliable. Then he offered me two types of payment protection plans. The first one was $21 per month and the second one was $5 per month. I agreed to the $5 plan. Then he got into financing options. He said, “Okay so $Xx,xxx over 5 years is $xxx per month.” I told him I only needed to finance about half of the cost. He told me that wasn’t possible because it had to be a minimum of $10,000 financed. I questioned the validity of his statement but I said, “Okay, so what would that be over 2 years?” He said it wasn’t possible to finance over 2 years - he said it had to be 5 years and started quoting what the payment would be. I told him I knew for fact 2 years was possible, he said no, I said yes, he said no, then I asked to speak to someone who wasn’t going to lie to me. Then he said, “Oh you want 2 years? Sure we can do 2 years.” He gave me what the monthly payment would be. I asked some questions about if the loan was open so I could put extra money down here and there. He changed his story a few times on the details of it. After I hung up the phone, I ran my own amortization schedule using the 2 year term and the interest rate he had quoted. The payments I calculated worked out to be $16 less than what he had quoted. I assumed he had given me the $21 protection plan instead of the $5 plan I had agreed to. I decided to find my own financing rather than give this guy my business, since they earn commission from financed deals. He was annoyed when I told him it would be a cash deal and then he wouldn’t send me the new bill of sale when I asked for it repeatedly (I wanted to transfer my registration ahead of time). When I got to the dealership to pick up my car, I waited for him for 45 minutes and he still hadn’t arrived. The salesman phoned him and claimed he was “stuck in traffic”. I ended up asking someone else to help me. The guy that helped me seemed pretty irritated. I wouldn’t buy a car from this dealership again. More

My more than reasonable shaped 2008 Yaris, with very low mileage of 123 km, was initially given a ridiculous tradein value of only $1200 !! The truth is, I felt that was quite an insult ! THEY DO NOT LISTEN called ahead to get a quote on an a/c recharge. was told by advisor that it was 15 a pound and an hour labor. made appt. went to the dealer and was to called ahead to get a quote on an a/c recharge. was told by advisor that it was 15 a pound and an hour labor. made appt. went to the dealer and was told i was at the wrong dealer, he finally found me and asked what i was there for. reminded him i was there for a a/c recharge.asked him if they put dye in the recharge and if there is a charge to re inspect the system in a few weeks. he tells me no need they just recharge and off i go, asked again how much it would be, told it was 30 a pound and an hour labor. annoyed, i said go ahead. i knew it was the same advisor that gave me the quote based on his accent. i asked not to have the car wash, the reason is because the cleaning wash bay is in the side of the building and i watched as they clean customer cars with an old brush and industrial soap that strips any protective coating that exist on the vehicle. i had just applied wax to my vehicle a few days earlier and made sure to tell this advisor NOT TO WASH IT!!!! waited and and he shows up with the bill, i pay it but noticed he charged me 1/2 diagnosis. told him i just wanted a recharge. he sighs and glares, goes into the managers office i wait for a while and he comes out and tells me he can give me a credit. i told him no i want a refund. he leaves sighs and glares and walks into the managers office. comes out a while later and tells me he can give me a refund.... wow i get to my car, washed, got it home freshly stripped of all wax!! i will not be bringing my vehicle to this dealer, the advisors dont listen, and i can't trust them. called henninger toyota and explained the situation, they informed me that a a/c recharge service comes with dye, and a free a/c inspection as standard. they offered to inspect it for free. More

Friendly service Was there to look at used car but ended up buying a new one. The manager was very upbeat and friendly and he made the negotions pleasant. One thing I was a little off, the $2500 deposit. Seemed very steep to hold a car. I was only asked $500 on the last one, abweek ago from Sourh Pointe Toyota and with contingency to be refunded after I go home and think about it. They ended up refunding me as I’m not too sure about it. On my note, when money is asked as a deposit, it should specify if it’s refundable or not.? As I wasn’t told that at the time when charged. Nobody wants to loose money especially that much. It would have been a worry free, to think it over, and not hold over your head, that you might loose that deposit if the purchase didn’t go thru. I know these are ways to secure a sale. I just don’t like that idea. That’s just my opinion. Anyway, the purchases turned out well and overall, a good experience. It should never be stressful to buy a car. It should be a fun experience. My opinion. Thank you and we do like out new car. More
