"Very Disappointed"- First Time Service At A High End Dealer The experience at Calgary BMW was so unprofessional, dishonest and very disappointing. The Z4 I purchased privately had $4500 worth of work done there The experience at Calgary BMW was so unprofessional, dishonest and very disappointing. The Z4 I purchased privately had $4500 worth of work done there by the previous owner and had clocked less than 200 km before I bought it. Included in the work was new run flat tires and a four wheel alignment. The car had a vibration and it wondered. When I queried them, they said their work had a two year warranty. I showed them that the tire weights were old and dirty and didn't think the tires had been balanced and that I doubted it had enough toe in (I had a private BMW mechanic drive it first and he thought the same). They booked it in and checked it out and said the tires were all okay (but now all 4 wheels had new shinny weights and the sticky back from the old weights had been left on the rims - wow). They said it steers normal for that sporty model. So much for Warranty as I got charged for them checking it out! When I picked up the car there was a new dent in the thunk and the 3rd stop light was now broken. Some of the staff that came out the view the car never even introduced themselves to me first including the GM. Grant (the GM) said they would replace the stop light lens and have the dent repair fellows come over and fix it (there were a few other dents to fix that would be on my nickel and that was fine). I asked if I could just drop off the car at their shop but he said no they come here. The next day I learned that the dent shop had actually come and picked up the car. I said I was told they do the work here! That night when I picked up the car the stuff in the trunk was slid all around from being joy ridden. I was Not Impressed! Not happy with the way the car steered I checked with the shop German Automotive Repair (Shawn Honsberger had been a technician at the dealership) and he said it is most likely the run flat tires. So I put on four new Cooper RS3-A non run flat tires at Canadian Tire and that only improved the steering by about 20%. Still not satisfied, I had them check the alignment (which is a free check and took less than ten minutes) and the right rear wheel was toed out. Calgary BMW had never even done that after I had taken it back. Canadian Tire Beacon Hill did the alignment and it improved the steering by another 50% to the point where you can actually take your eyes off the road. Its a pleasure to drive now. We also have an older 320i so I know what a BMW should drive like. It is REALLY BAD when Canadian Tire out classes and out preforms a BMW shop. I wouldn't take my wheel barrow to Calgary BMW for a grease job !! More
Change for the worse This dealer used to be pretty special; offering great incentives and excellent customer service. I don't know what's changed, or if it's just that BMW This dealer used to be pretty special; offering great incentives and excellent customer service. I don't know what's changed, or if it's just that BMW M cars tend to sell themselves, but customer service has nosedived. This is one of the stingiest Alberta BMW dealerships offering little to no incentive and a "we'll just sell to someone else" attitude. Their best people seem to have left the parts department as well. You are much better off going to a dealership not owned by the Dilawri family. I've purchased 3 new BMWs from this dealership and had them serviced here before. The service guys are still quite good IMO but will swirl your paint when they clean your car. More
"STOP" Beware....do not take your BMW here for service. (ex. $860.00 to replace two oil filter housing gaskets which I did myself on my own BMW in under an hour!) Gaskets cost me less then $60.00 and it took one hour of my time and I am not a mechanic! Please consider taking your BMW vehicle to Gallery BMW in the NW of Calgary for service repairs where they take more pride in the service they provide and they are very friendly for the right reasons! I am writing this review to try and help people from being ripped off and I am a little upset but not doing this out of anger! This is the first time for me to even write a review so that must tell you something!lol After my last visit at Calgary BMW I left there sick to my stomach after watching and listening to them try to rip off old retired people for their hard earned cash all morning? Once my vehicle was done I get into my BMW only to notice that the area they worked on (my dash) is all scuffed up on the corners from being removed and my glove box was left dirty on the outside and they didn't even complete all tasks I had asked them to do?(they did not change my front turning signal bulb) After what I have witnessed I will not be returning to Calgary BMW for "service" ever again as the people that work their act like they invented the BMW vehicles and are very stuck up in my opinion! They made me feel uncomfortable and I will not stand/sit there while they over charge people and made me wanna puke as they over charge retired people! Highly recommend going to Gallery BMW for your service needs and maybe one day Calgary BMW will realize and start to value all their customers a lot better to earn back their business! There is a reason why Gallery BMW service centre is so busy but it is well worth the wait! Thanks for reading this and I hope it helps the retired folks keep their hard earned cash in their pockets where it belongs! :). Maybe, BMW should consider a lower cost for repairs for retired folks to truly help them out as they are no longer in the work force and truly need to save their money for enjoyment as they walk the last of their journey of life! :) More

I have encountered several instances of incompetence in that time period without making a public complaint but my experience today has left me incensed enough to write this review. I arrived at Calgary BMW at 8:32AM to get a copy of my service records. The first service advisor I saw was Donald Dore. From the onset, he was very rude and unaccommodating. I politely asked for a copy of my service records. He asked if I was the original owner of the vehicle to which I replied "No, but I am the only owner in Canada and the car has only been serviced at this dealership". He reluctantly gave me a 3 page summary of my 8 year history except that each portrait page was horizontally compressed into half a page such that most of the service descriptions where either cut off or devoid of context. I asked if I could get a more detailed summary and he started questioning me as to why I didn't have my original records or why I should be asking for more records. I told him that I do indeed have my original records but would like a copy. He refused to print out a more detailed account of my services and then finally said he is too busy and doing so would take in excess of 40 minutes. After being flabbergasted by his ineptitude and lack of respect for a customer, I quickly went to another customer service representative, Rahim Rana. Mr. Rana asked me about my ownership of my vehicle to which I had given him the same response as I did Donald. Within a couple minutes, Mr. Rana had printed off a more detailed summarized account of my 8 year service record. He was excellent and offered the type of service any customer would expect from a 'luxury' dealership. Before leaving the dealership, I decided to file a complaint with the customer service manager, Jeremy Kosior. I complained of the poor service Donald had given me as compared to the great service from Mr. Rana. Jeremy was surprisingly uninterested and useless in assuring me my concern would be addressed. Instead of voicing concern over the poor training of his employee, he repeatedly gave me brainless statements. I believe this dealership would benefit greatly from customer relationship training starting with customer service 'manager' Jeremy and ending with customer service representatives like Donald. More

NEGATIVE REVIEW due to safety issues with the brand new vehicle, incompetent service technicians and a complete lack of product support from BMW and the dealership. I recently purchased a new, fully loaded 2015 BMW 328i from Calgary BMW one month ago and the vehicle quality and over-all experience has been very disappointing. This is the 5th NEW vehicle I have purchased at Calgary BMW in less than 4 years and Grant, the sales Manager has been exceptional to deal with for every purchase without fail, until now. This new 2015 328i came from the factory with major problems and the service department has been nothing short of incompetent and incapable of resolving the issues after 3 return visits for the same complaint. The car has had problems immediately upon leaving the dealership and I will outline the serious front SUSPENSION fault first: (It is now 1 month old with 2,000 KM on it June, 2015) There was a consistent and worsening creaking, clunking and groaning from the front suspension when turning the steering wheel or driving over uneven surfaces. As the problem became more severe, we booked the vehicle into Calgary BMW service. It took 2 weeks for them to offer us an appointment to deal with the car, so we continued driving it with a front suspension issue. *Minor but annoying problem number 2: High pitched and very loud wind noise from driver (and passenger) window/side-view mirrors at highway speeds. After leaving the car with Calgary BMW service for a day, we were called to come pick up the car and advised that the technician cleaned out and lubricated the steering column and had fixed the problem. They stated that the tech noticed the loud whistling noise from the window mirror, but that they had no way of fixing it so we would have to "live with it". As soon as we left the service dept. at closing and dropped off the Enterprise Rental car (that they now provide at a cost of $26.00 instead of dealer loaners), we noticed that the suspension creaking was as loud as ever and had not been fixed. So back for another service appointment (and a base BMW 320i rental car that was filthy and smelled like dirty diapers). ***Now we were told that the suspension needed to be replaced on this brand new 328i and it had to be ordered in from Vancouver...so we waited for the parts to arrive. They installed the new suspension and we returned to service to pick up our vehicle. *As we were pulling into the dealership one hour before closing, we were called and told that they needed the car for 4 more days. We walked into service and were told that the tech replaced the right side suspension, but that it DID NOT FIX THE PROBLEM and the left suspension was still faulty and needed replacing. SERIOUSLY? So when we asked why they did not order both sides of the suspension and replace them together, they replied "the tech wanted to try and fix one side to see if that helped because he didn't know both sides needed replacing...but when he fixed the right side, the left side is still creaking and needs replacing." So now they need the car for another 4 days to order in the parts from Vancouver...again. They have pulled apart my steering assembly and the front suspension on a new car with only 2,000 KM. I asked the sales manager to either take back the new LEMON they sold me and give me a different 2015 328i or cancel the lease so I can go buy an Audi or Mercedes that I can feel safe driving my family in. They refused to offer any support and said returning the car would result in a "voluntary repossession" and would ruin my credit rating...NICE. A steering or suspension malfunction at highway speeds (or less) can cause a collision that results in fatalities to the people in the BMW and/or others on the highway! Very sad to have to sue Calgary BMW in the Court of Queen's Bench for a resolution. More
