This was my second Hyundai vehicle, but my first purchase at Bank St. Too bad I didn't buy my first one there. Has I known!!! Shahir, my sales associate, knew the product by heart, was funny, was patient, non-pushy, and courteous. Amir, the GM, sat down with me, explained a whole bunch of financial details that were all foreign to me, took his time, never made me feel rushed even though he is very busy, and smiled smiled smiled the whole time. What a great guy. Then I dealt with Ernesto in finance. He was awesome, laid back, funny, and did not try to sell me useless add-ons. He listened to my needs and adjusted everything accordingly. What a great experience! I love my Santa Fe, but most of all, these guys got me in the vehicle I wanted, at the price I wanted, and made the experience feel fun, stress-free, and most of all pressure-free. Kanesa (Service/Parts Manager) excelled in every possible way and he, and his team, were highly attentive, polite and thorough. A few days later my husband showed up without a scheduled appointment and both Kanesa and P.J. (Service Advisor), were just as super efficient and helpful as with our initial service appointment. Despite the fact that they were quite busy, they somehow managed to speedily and carefully take care of our service needs with their usual professionalism and friendly, enthusiastic attitude. I WOULDN'T TAKE MY WHEELBARREL TO GET REPAIR THERE I HAD MY ENGINE REPLACED OR SHOULD I SAY BUTCHERED THROUGH THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT AT BANK STREET HYUNDAI ABOUT A YEAR AGO. THIS FIRST STARTED OFF WITH I HAD MY ENGINE REPLACED OR SHOULD I SAY BUTCHERED THROUGH THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT AT BANK STREET HYUNDAI ABOUT A YEAR AGO. THIS FIRST STARTED OFF WITH OIL PAN BEING REPLACED UNDER WARRANTY BECAUSE OF CORROSION. SO WHEN I TOOK IT IN THEY DRAINED THE OIL AND REPLACED THE PAN AND THEN REFILLED THE OIL AT THAT POINT THEY DID NOT REPLACE THE OIL FILTER THEY JUST LEFT THE OLD FILTER ON. WHEN I PICKED UP MY I ASKED THE SERVICE ADVISOR TO CONFIRM THAT THE OIL FILTER WAS CHANGE AND THEY SAID IT WAS. SO AT THAT POINT I WAS UNDER THE INPRESSION THAT THE FULL OIL CHANGE WAS DONE. SO I CONTINUED TO DRIVE MY AS IF A PROPER OIL CHANGE WAS DONE. FEW WEEKS LATER I STARTED GETTING REALLY BAD LIFTER NOISE COMING FROM MY ENGINE AT THAT TIME I TOOK IT BACK TO HAVE THEM LOOK AT IT AFTER SEVERAL DAYS OF DIAGNOSING THE ISSUE THEY CAME TO THE CONCLUSION THAT THE ENGINE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. AFTER SEVERAL WEEKS I DID RECEIVE MY VEHICLE BACK WITH A "REPLACED ENGINE". IN FEBRUARY 2014 I RETURNED TO SERVICE TO GET AN OIL CHANGE AND TO LOOK IT WHY I WAS GETTING OIL DRIPPING ON MY DRIVEWAY THEY CAME BACK WITH MY RUSTPROOFING WAS CAUSING IT. SO I ACCEPTED THAT ANSWER WITH THE BELIEF THAT THEY LOOK AT IT. NOVEMBER 2014 I TOOK MY VEHICLE TO MY OWN MECHANIC TO GET OIL CHANGE AND AGAIN TO LOOK TO SEE IF ANYTHING WAS LEAKING AND OF COURSE WITH A PROPER INSPECTION THE PROBLEMS WERE FOUND AS TO WHY I HAD OIL LEAKING ALL OVER MY DRIVEWAY. HERE'S WHAT HAD TO BE REPAIRED A 1 YEAR AFTER THE ENGINE REPLACEMENT. -TIMING BELT WHICH WAS PUT IN NEW WHEN THE ENGINE WAS REPLACE IT WAS SOAKED IN ENGINE OIL. - THE ALTERATOR WAS PTTACHED WITH ONLY ONE SCREW -THE INTAKE MANIFOLD WAS CRACKED SO THAT HAD TO BE REPLACED WITH A USED ONE. -THE VALVE COVER GASKETS WERE INCORRECTLY INSTALLED BY THE TECHNICIAN WHO WORKED ON THE MY VEHICLE. THERE WAS OIL LEAKING IN 2 PLACES I COULDN'T BELIEVE WHAT MY MECHANIC WAS SHOWING ME WHEN I LOOKED AT MY VEHICLE. I THEN PROCEDED TO HAVE MY OWN MECHANIC REPAIR ALL THE PROBLEMS WITH MY VEHICLE BECAUSE I DIDN'T WANT THE DEALER'S TECHNICIANTO SCREW UP MY ENGINE MORE THAN ALREADY WAS.. THESE ARE REPAIRS THAT SHOUL;D NOT HAVE TO BE DONE ON A NEW ENGINE THIS HAS COST ME ALOT OF MONEY AND STRESS THAT I DON'T NEED. WHEN I TRY TO GET SCOTT CARMODY TO CALL ME BACK I NEVER GET A CALL BACK. THE SAME GOES FOR HYUNDAI CANADA. More
