Fantastic experience for my first NEW car! I originally came in to Hyundai looking to test drive a Mazda CX-5 that they had in their used inventory lot. I absolutely hated it. I did the test drive with Shahir and he was a blast to chat with. He said to try out a Hyundai Tucson 2016, so we did it… i LOVED it! It was a fantastic driving experience, Shahir told me everything about the history of this car and it’s new “super structure”. So we arranged for me to purchase it and ran into a few road bumps because of my credit issues from the past. Finally, after a few days of work from Ashur, I was able to purchase the Tucson and had an amazing experience with everything from the test drive, to purchasing and now driving it! I would definitely recommend anyone to try out the Tucson and come and experience the amazing customer experience at Hyundai that I felt when purchasing this vehicle! From the moment I dealt with Bank Street Hyundai they gave the impression that they were prepared to go the extra mile. I was going to hold them to it. Ali and I spoke first on the phone and arranged to meet a few days later. He greeted us and it was obvious that he was professional, friendly and personable. Not once did I feel pressured. He gave honest answers and provided useful and timely information throughtout the entire process. I cannot say enough good things about him. Thank you Ali for everything. Amir was great. Just a really friendly person with obvious experience and a customer-focused demeanour. He made sure we were getting the deal we were comfortable with. He made sure we were happy. Great product yes but WHAT AN AWESOME GROUP OF PEOPLE! From the first drop-in visit, I liked the fact that the dealer location was easy to find and get to, it was not too big nor overbearing or crowded. From the first drop-in visit, I liked the fact that the dealer location was easy to find and get to, it was not too big nor overbearing or crowded. Having never bought a new vehicle before, I walked in only intending to find out about the products and get an idea of prices. My first contact was with Juan, who promptly greeted me with a warm smile and a good handshake as he offered his assistance. After mutual introductions, he inquired about the purpose of my visit and followed up by offering to get me a salesman, a beverage and a seat while I waited. The wait was very brief. Next, Shahir introduced himself to me, greeted me in a very personable manner and he had a most genuine and welcoming smile. I immediately felt at ease with him and did not feel pressure as he provided me with information I had asked for (ie: idea of the varying models, pricing, warranties, etc.) or any offers he informed me about. He took me for a test drive of the model I thought I might like, but we also discussed other models (as it turned out I bought a different one than originally thought I might buy-maybe as a result of our discussion). Afterwards, we ended up chatting about children and family a bit, this made me relax and made the contact more personal. Throughout, he was always patient, respectful, very knowledgeable and professional. His friendly good nature made it easy to talk with him. Being early in my search for my "first new car ever". and having never purchased through a dealer before, I had many questions. Even though it was a busy sale day, Shahir took the time to answer all my questions thoroughly and explained the process and of course presented his products with all its highlights. He even offered to pick me up if I wanted to revisit and also drive me home again, I certainly was not expecting that kind of treatment. All in all my first contact with Bank Street Hyundai was very pleasant and not pressured which I was grateful for. I remember thinking at the time that my first impressions included a sense that the owners took time to choose their staff carefully while establishing a welcoming and non pressured atmosphere. I almost immediately felt a somewhat small town kind of friendliness, while at the same time Bank Street exemplified a very professional setting. A good start at developing trust in a company you might potentially do business with. At the end of the visit, Shahir asked me if he could get some of my information and with my permission he filled in a contact sheet as he talked to me about the sale that was currently going on. Another healthy handshake and smiles, then I moved on to see other brands and dealerships. A day or more went by. I was surprised to receive a follow up call from Juan because I had only briefly met him. He was connecting to see if I wanted further info and could they be of more assistance in my search and he offered additional contact with Shahir if I needed any further information. At the time I was leaning towards a different salesperson from a different dealer but I had not truly decided on any car nor any dealer. I just did not feel in a hurry and wanted to be more confident in what and where I would purchase. However, I have to say that I did not develop a same good initial rapport with any other dealers' sales staff. None had been as good as the one at Bank Street, so I did not commit anywhere. Being cautious by nature, I I did not act regarding purchasing at that time, instead, not thinking about buying a car right away, I just waited. Next day, Shahir called me in response to a question I had left with him. I had forgotten about it but he had not. I was impressed because he followed through as promised and all the while did not pressure me on anything. Sometime following Shahir's call, Amir called me. Although we had not met, I immediately felt comfortable talking with him too! Normally a series of such calls might have felt imposing but they really were not! Amir, also was a person that was most personable and professional. He gained my attention as he introduced himself and any offer that he presented to me was given in a non-pressure kind of way. He offered to start purchase discussions if I was ready and he phrased it in a way that I did not feel hurried but he also pointed out that this was good timing I had fallen into with the sale. I had to agree. I was surprisingly comfortable telling him what was my delay in acting, what I was looking for in so far as price was concerned and what things I wanted but had been reluctant to ask about. I found it easy to share my thoughts and preferences with him, his positive attitude got me to start the ball rolling. Back with Shahir, who, by the way picked me up at my home the following morning and would have also driven me back had I needed it. The rest was fun and relatively easy. I met more wonderful people which only caused me to trust the entire group of people I was now dealing with. It doesn't stop there though. I cannot forget the reception staff who where always very attentive to my many calls and who always acted in a very pleasant and professional manner, always friendly and efficient in responding to my queries and getting my messages to the recipients. Thank you Jennifer and Ali. (By the way, why is there not a section to offer reviews of the "first contact staff" like Jennifer and Ali? they really matter so much in the whole process of establishing an opinion of a business? Just a suggestion.) Next, Moe who kindly took me to see vehicles so I could not only see first hand the colors I had to choose from, but also to pick the car I would actually be purchasing. He was helping Shahir who was busy with someone just so I was not waiting too long. All the while he was genuinely friendly and fun to talk with and his suggestions were well informed and helpful. Thanks Moe. Last but not least, Ashur in finance, who was a pleasure to meet and who unknowingly provided me with a missing component I did not even know I was missing, - that of "trust". He unknowingly demonstrated the final link and he made me realize that I had was in fact receiving fair and honest treatment, as a 'first time, new car buyer this was peace of mind I did not expect. Throughout the process he listened attentively to my questions and concerns. He expressed his answers very clearly and acted efficiently and professionally. So personable that we quickly developed a very good rapport and I was totally comfortable discussing matters with him. We had some time to share views and experiences regarding matters on loans and rates of interest and even shared a few of personal life trials. He never hurried me through the process and provided me with sound knowledge as he made it easy to understand the financial process I was undertaking. He showed me how good a price and extras I actually got. It made me feel happy about my purchase but mostly about my decision to purchase at this dealership. No pun intended, but in some ways, Ashur sealed the deal. He simply gave me final look at the trustworthiness the group had already shown me. All the people who helped gave me their best attention and I felt he fortified the trust factor when he dealt with me openly and truthfully. I could tell I could expect this dealership to continue to have my trust in the future.
