Even though they did have to bring out quite a few options until I was satisfied with options and pricing, I never at any point in time felt like I was burdening anyone. All the (even the Wash Bay) were very personable and appeared at all times to be on task. In fact a fellow came out from the Wash Bay to help transfer my many items from my old vehicle to the new one and because the dealership brought in the particular car I wanted from another dealership, in order to speed things along my sales man even got his hands wet helping out with the busy Wash Bay with my new purchase. The lady who was onsite doing the vehicle insurance was also very wonderful, very knowledgeable and I'm very pleased. More

Really like the car; dealership experience was okay at best When I first came to Abbotsford VW, I was greeted by a very pleasant and attentive salesperson by the name of Nick Iozzo. The sales manager, Meslissa When I first came to Abbotsford VW, I was greeted by a very pleasant and attentive salesperson by the name of Nick Iozzo. The sales manager, Meslissa Jakoboy was also very attentive after the test drive. I was looking at a 2014 Jetta TDI. I was impressed with the vehicle and was strongly considering making a deal. This is where thing changed for me. As soon as we started talking numbers, "the game" started. I have bought and sold a lot of cars in my time and I know that there is certainly a dance that goes on between the seller and the buyer; of course, I expect that to a certain degree. I am more than comfortable with the back and forth that goes on while negotiating. Having said that, here were several parts to my experience that I did not enjoy: 1. High pressure. As soon as we started talking numbers it became a very high pressure situation. The phrase " can I earn your business today" was said to me multiple times. Again, I'm okay with that, and in no way am I saying that I was pressured into a deal that I didn't want to get into. The focus was on getting me to sign as quickly as possible rather than making sure that I was comfortable moving forward with a deal. 2. It became about the dealership selling a car rather than providing a service to a customer. As we dealt on price and with my trade in, the "fibs" started, all in the name of getting me to sign as soon as possible. I was trading an older car, and I was told that we had to get the deal done today because apparently there was someone who was going to load it onto a truck (they conveniently had one spot left) and it was going to be taken back to the USA where it came from. This was a complete fabrication. As soon as I went out to the new car, I saw a VW sales sticker on my old car. Again, I get the game, but don't be dishonest. 3. Warranty. One of the reasons that we were looking at a newer vehicle was because we wanted a vehicle under warranty. When we started negotiating on extended warranties, I was told by the sales manager, Melissa, that there was no room to negotiate on warranty at all, it comes from Volkswagen Canada. Ok, fair enough. My only problem is that twenty minutes later after we had agreed upon a deal and I was sitting one office over (from Melissa) in the office of the lady who was doing the financial piece, I refused the extended warranty coverage . Suddenly, there was room to negotiate on this. She knocked almost $800 off of the price just like that... I commented that I was surprised that there was room to negotiate on this given I was just told that there was no room to negotiate. I still denied the extended warranty coverage. Again, I understand that this is all a game, but please don't fabricate information in the name of making a deal. 4. The delivery of the vehicle: my wife and I signed the deal and transferred everything from my old car to my new car. At this point, again, it was about getting me out the door as soon as possible. There was a delivery checklist that the salesperson, Nick, was to go through with me. He checked everything off inside the dealership, and wanted me to sign it before we had gone out to the vehicle and gone through the items that were already checked off. This was meant to "save time." I did not sign until we had gone through the car. At the risk of being redundant, this was again about getting the sale done as fast possible, with little regard for ensuring that the customer had everything that we needed before leaving. I waited several days before writing this review, to make sure that I provided a balanced perspective as possible, especially after I had seen so many positive reviews about this dealership. At the end of the day, I really like the car that we got. I am a little disappointed in how the sales process was handled when "things got serious." I wouldn't tell anybody not to go to this dealership; however, I would be telling them to make sure that they take it slow and be cognizant of all the details of the deal. When you spend that kind of money on a car, I would hope that the experience is a little more pleasant than it felt. More
