Greedy and trying to take advantage I had purchased a used car from Dixie401vw along with a 3yr Lubrico powertrain Warranty. The cost of the Lubrio warranty was 1599CAD. But just over a I had purchased a used car from Dixie401vw along with a 3yr Lubrico powertrain Warranty. The cost of the Lubrio warranty was 1599CAD. But just over a month after purchasing the car ,my car was involved in a collision and was a write off. I phoned Lubrico and they told me to go to Dixie401vw again ,where if I purchase a car my old warranty will be transferred to my bought car. I settled to buy a Toyota Matrix 2009 and came to an agreement on the price with the sales people. The understanding that I had was that the Lubrico warranty will be transferred to the Matrix that I was buying. Finally when I got to the point of signing the bill of sale, the finance manager Joseph wanted CAD 699 for the warranty.Joseph knew that I was buying a car again from them in less than 2 months only because I had been in an unfortunate accident .He lowered the warranty fee to CAD 499 after I had voiced my protests. I didn't want to pay any more money for the Lubrico warranty since I had already purchased it for the original fee. I walked out and regardless of Dixie401's greediness,my story had a happy ending. I got a very good used car at a bargain price immediately from an another dealer. More
STAY FAR AWAY FROM 401 DIXIE VW....GO ELSE WHERE I purchased a 2009 Tiguan back in May 2012 from a sales person by the name of Joseph. What a experience there after. A little over 30 days of my purc I purchased a 2009 Tiguan back in May 2012 from a sales person by the name of Joseph. What a experience there after. A little over 30 days of my purchase I noticed my car reving every time I turned it off, lights kept coming on, sunroof raddling etc. I contacted 401 DIXIE VW dealer and spoke with the manager who was not very helpful informing me that the noise that I am hearing is normal and there is nothing that can be done. Think twice before purchasing from VW, my 2009 Tiguan have been problems every since I bought it. July 2014 just three weeks ago my car started leaking oil from the main seal and water pump which will cost $1884.00. I was sold a warranty by VW through Lubrico for $1599.00 which does not cover the problems mentioned above. I thereafter, contacted VW Customer Service which did nothing to assist me with my issue. I played the waiting game for approximately three weeks before I finally got a 50% discount which I'm still not satisfied. Please stay far away from all VW especially 401 Dixie VW unless you want headaches. More

I rescheduled a second appointment letting them know the issue, and I was told that if it's not the software i'would have to pay .... fair enough. When I drop in the car, I asked if they could replace left side bulb on DRL (Day Running Light) having the bulb. I was told that the labor would cost $34.65+tax. At this price I said i'll do it myself. Two hours after I dropped the car, Alan called letting me know that during the first update the software was configured incorrectly. The issue had been corrected, the car was ready for pickup, and there was no charge. I asked him if he could complimentary replace the bulb (2min work). He told that he had to pay the mechanic and he would not do it. I ask him that my time (1h back and forth to the dealership) is not worth anything. I didn't want to go back to them... I had to go back just because they didn't do a proper job... Anyway...401 Dixie VW is not gonna have my business anymore...at least the service dept. However, the shuttle bus driver was very friendly. Cheers, More

I have always serviced my car at the same dealership. Shortly after retrieving the car, I noticed a continuous shiver in the steering wheel. I went to the nearest service center and I gave the mechanic the lock nut to unlock the bolts. He told me that none of the rims had a lock nut. Oddly enough I went back to dixie 401 and confronted the manager. He offered to replace the missing lock nuts but could not and did not want to claim any responsibility. These thieves would switch the tires and rims during service to some other damaged tires and rims without your knowledge. .. be careful. It happened to me. More
I have been using this service centre for several years, principally dealing with Mark. Generally, I was satisfied with quality of work and with the diagnoses. On 27/02/2014 I have dealt with Alan, who is v principally dealing with Mark. Generally, I was satisfied with quality of work and with the diagnoses. On 27/02/2014 I have dealt with Alan, who is very friendly, but clearly was only interested in maximizing the invoice. Namely, Alan had suggested additional work which was clearly not necessary. For example, EGR manifold cleaning, and replacing the strut mounts and bushings, even though both of which were performed in 2012. More
I'd definitely recommend 401 Dixie VW. I just picked up my new-to-me used car last week, and I'm so happy with it. Everyone at the dealership was great and treated me really well throughout the entire p up my new-to-me used car last week, and I'm so happy with it. Everyone at the dealership was great and treated me really well throughout the entire process, and I feel like I got a great deal for the car I bought. It was really nice to go to a dealership where I didn't feel pressured. If you're in the market for a VW, this is for sure the place to go. Rick was awesome and found me exactly what I wanted, without pressuring me at all to make a decision. I also went back later in the week to have snow tires put on, and everyone in the service department was fantastic as well. Thanks, 401 Dixie VW! More

Despite the negative reviews online about this location, I decided to still give them a try. I went in recently for a used car purchase and had the worst experience ever. Salesman was aggressive, didn't kno I decided to still give them a try. I went in recently for a used car purchase and had the worst experience ever. Salesman was aggressive, didn't know the car he was selling very well and tried to charge above and beyond the advertised price which only states licensing & taxes extra. When I challenged him on this and mentioned that UCDA requires it's dealers to only charge taxes/licensing above and beyond the advertised vehicle price (unless indicated otherwise) he got extremely defensive. Escalating to the manager was pointless as he wasn't really interested in what we had to say and seemed irritated. In close to 10 years of vehicle ownership and dealing with various auto makers/dealerships - this has to be the absolute worst experience. VW of Canada, please take note - this dealership continues to receive negative reviews all over the net and is giving a great company a bad name. Absolute worst experience ever from a VW dealership!!! More
These guys are liars and cheats. Been to some other dealers and 401 Dixie was always a lower price.....or so I thought. After you add up all the admin fees and extras they try to upsell in the business dealers and 401 Dixie was always a lower price.....or so I thought. After you add up all the admin fees and extras they try to upsell in the business office. Not only ends up being a higher price, but if you don't go for all the extras (like I didn't) then suddenly you are not a very high priority to this dealership anymore. More
