Hi Mohammed We take a lot of pride in our reviews. None of them are fake, they are IP checked and multiple reviews from the same poster are deleted from the site. The Competition Bureau actively holds Dealerships accountable for fake reviews, we’ve never had an issue. In researching your case file I came to understand that you have either provided a fake name when you were visiting our store, or used a fake one when making this post. To be clear, my name is Drew, I'm the Dealer here and I can be reached at 905 238 8080 ext 222 or dfraser@dixiehyundai.com if you would like to review this case in more detail personally. These reviews are meant to be a way to show the world, warts and al,l what the people here are all about. 97% of the time we get it right, but we aren't perfect. While I understand that you weren't satisfied with you experience at our dealership, in fairness you were asking us for to lose money so you could purchase a new car. As much as my staff is trained to give great customer service, we do have a business to run. Digging a little deeper your scenario is somewhat unique. An apples to apples trade of an 2015 Elantra L with 25,000km upgrading to a brand new 2016 Elantra L with no kilometers, assuming my research is correct you were looking for a ballpark difference of around $2000. The current national special advertisement from Hyundai Canada for a 2016 Elantra is $11995 plus tax. Which for simple math, would mean I would need to give you $9995 for your vehicle to make the deal work. Seeing that it is a used vehicle I would also have to recondition it. At bare minimum to fresh oil and filter, a full detail and likely a brake service. Approximately $350. So now I have a used car with a cost of $10345. I would like to make a little bit of money, after so say I asked $11345 for your car. What person is going to buy a one year old vehicle with 25,000km for $1650 with no mark up, to $650 less than a brand new vehicle? Your reference to black book values unfortunately does not consider a lot of elements. Firstly, there is very little sale data of Elantra L’s in Ontario. Our more popular GL and SE trim levels dominate new Elantra sales, so the fewer sold new, the fewer available used. Especially one year old models. So with little auction data Black Book is slow to adjust their values offered on the vehicles. Combine that with the current model has just introduced a $5500 plus retail incentive, which is yet to decrease the wholesale market, is not a fair representation of what happened while you were in the store. We are being held accountable to third party that you deemed correct, and we disagreed, with the above logical explanation. Lastly, our sales department has done a much better job collecting reviews than our service department, and area we are addressing for 2016, as you can see by our current review numbers YTD.
